3. This is simply unheard of. |
|
This simple truth, oft repeated, could well do more damage to the standing of this rotten thieves' den than much more sophisticated attacks.

26. Liar is a pretty accurate word |
|
No reasonable argument can be made that Bush did not lie about many things including WMDs. On Sept 7 he told reporters that a 1998 IAEA report said Saddam was six months away from a (nuclear) weapon. No such report existed, not saying anything like that. In fact their actual position was that Iraq's nuclear programs had been destroyed in 91 and they saw no evidence it had been reconstituted. In fact they said there were no disarmament issues outstanding with Iraq in regards to nuclear weapons. Pulling a report that never existed directly out of your ass is not a distortion, nor a mistake by the CIA, nor a slip of the tongue. ITS A LIE. BUSH IS A LIAR. QED.

29. Debs, if everything you say is accurate to a tee, the Congress, the MSM, |

and most of the people (everyone eligible to even have registered to vote in the 2004 national election, but did not vote for JK, the only viable opponent) don't care IMHO. It just doesn't matter.

31. I have read this in several books |
|
It happened in a joint press conference with Tony Blair Sept 7 2002. See The lies of George W Bush, by David Corn or Fraud by Paul Waldman. Perhaps people don't care. Perhaps people don't know. You are even here in DU questioning this. It wasn't given much media play.

6. Here is the liar exchange: |
|
Most likely to cause a stir, however, is an exchange that concludes the interview:
RS: You've called Bush a loser.
HR: And a liar.
RS: You apologized for the loser comment.
HR: But never for the liar, have I?

He is doing a great job. Then nuclear option would have been exercised under Dacshle and we would have lost the filibuster forever.

Newsflash - We have lost the filibuster. It was -called- a compromise, but all it means is that Dems -can- filibuster as long as they don't.

17. WHY did he call bush a liar ??? |
|
we need more than just name calling here ... we need Reid to clearly and regularly start making the case in the MSM that bush LIED about the reasons he invaded Iraq ...
i'm glad Reid stands up to the republicans and tells it like it is ... bush is indeed a liar ... his entire administration is one big pile of propaganda and disinformation ... but did Reid provide Rolling Stone with the evidence? Did he make the case about bush's "high crimes and misdemeanors"?? Did he call for an investigation of bush's lies???
the bottom line here is that Reid did NOT support his position and he should have ...

21. Democrats as a majority party |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 06:20 PM by welshTerrier2
welcome to DU, NJ Democrats !!
i'm very concerned that the Democrats, as a Party, are not speaking out against the insanity in Iraq ... i'm concerned that they are not warning Americans about a probable bush attack on Syria ... i'm concerned that they seem to support dealing harshly with Iran rather than fighting as hard as they can for a diplomatic solution ...
while some Democrats in Congress have addressed some of these foreign policy concerns, the Party, especially Dean and the Senate Democrats have not ... Democrats are in danger of being seen as the "domestic issues only" party ... this may serve them well when the country is not whipped into a frenzy about terrorism or retaliation for 9/11 or Al Qaeda's obtaining "dirty bombs", but it isn't going to cut it in 2006 or 2008 ...
if Democrats continue to "just go along" with bush and his Middle East occupation, we will not become the majority party anytime soon ... what the Democrats are doing is not just bad policy; it's bad politics too ...
