These were taken by a great frien from college who actually was there to protest with his better half, a CTA member. Arnie is going to feel a world of pain. Attacking teachers, nurses, firemen...what a putz! It's just starting.

Thousands Protest Budget Cuts

Teachers, nurses and others rally in L.A. and Sacramento to urge the governor to back off his funding decisions and cancel a special election.

Thousands of teachers, nurses and other government employees massed in front of the Capitol and in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday to protest Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's budget cuts and plans to hold a fall special election.

The demonstrations came as a new poll showed limited public support for the governor's plans to close a projected $6-billion budget shortfall by reducing spending.

It is my feeling that he will not. He screwed up by attacking nurses, teachers, firefighters and police. Instead of focusing on the wealthy and the Corps. that could help in solving the economic woes of CA. he picked on Middle Class public servants. Bad mistake.
