Something that just popped into my head...
One of the biggest mysteries surrounding Watergate was revealed. Wouldn't it be cool if a second Watergate happened right after a mystery from the first one was solved?

I have a feeling another one will be arriving shortly.

3. I don't know but I hope and pray
all the time something will bring them down. It seems every day is some new scandal that's a bitch slap to us and right infront of our face and he's still there. AH! It's so frustrating. Nothing will happen with this Congress and Senate though. They're too worried about steroids in sports. :eyes:

4. Yes, that's a head popping idea alright....
....but what CIA or FBI or HLS or SS or other insider government operative with enough dirt on BushCo who is not being watched by 15 other pairs of eyes could pull such a whistle-blowing act off without being fully exposed and probably eradicated before it would ever reach the public awareness. The closest to this so far has been Richard Clark's testimony last year and it did not prevent Bush from being reelected. George Galloway is making tsunami waves with his statements, but most Americans who continue to support Bush, God and country, blow Galloway off as an irritating Scot who needs to keep his mouth shut and be polite if he does not want his visa revoked. Even our news journalists are spineless and impotent when it comes to digging and reporting the truth.

Hey, I hope it happens, but I'm not holding my breath.

10. whistle, you have a way of putting things in
perspective. I'm an eternal optimist so some stone cold reality helps. :)

5.  For a second Watergate to happen, we would need TWO miracles...

1) We would need a Democratic majority in both the House and the Senate

2) And those Democrats would need a spine

6. We would need a "Daniel Ellsberg" or "John Dean" to risk everything
and I mean everything to stand up to the Bush crime family. When someone like Richard Clarke stands up he gets the Rovian response, i.e. the use of the Bush sucking media to throw any and all garbage at him.
I actually think it would take a Republican (with a backbone of steel and unshakable conscience) in government to have that type of impact.
Someone with the prestige of a Colin Powell although I don't think he would ever turn on Bush.

12. The CIA will have to be in on it.
The CIA ran the bungled burglary, ran the info to Woodward (see
http://www.metroactive.com/papers/sonoma/07.03.97/scoop-9727.html )
ran the White House taping system (Alexander Butterfield was CIA), well, you get the picture...

The military industrial complex will have to want Bush out of office in order for it to actually happen. Wait and see, it can happen. With the Iraq quagmire bumbling right along and the faux economy poised for a housing bubble, the lights might go in in DC soon.
