And what they could do?

I think the lunacy and the evilness of this administration frightens even the strongest of nations. It isn't like the Cold War where the leaders of their respective countries were basically sane and knew that any conflict would end in MAD (mutually assured destruction).

But with Chaney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and puppet chimp, these people are capable of almost anything.

Some sort of law given to these thugs allows the USA to use Nukes....

You know, either we do something about this or someone else will...

2. They can't help directly...
But, they could focus on investing in helping out and funding the infrastructure of the American Left... Consider: If the Japanese can own a factory, why can't the French donate funds to a think tank? Or the Germans buy a building to house a new think tank? or leftist organizing campus?

Not to mention, such international connections might turn out to be very beneficial longterm, should we (god forbid) descend into another civil war and suddenly find ourselves in need of international allies to fund the opposition.

"Where there's a will..." and all that.

3. Well said....
It is a fine line - getting help from other nations and protecting our own country (once we restore our democracy)...

4. Not any more
They are increasingly simply ignored and seen as irrelevant. Bush went to Europe on a begging tour and didn't get anything he wanted. The Iranians don't care about American demands. Neither does North Korea. Both countries continue their nuclear programmes unperturbed. Russia sells air defense weapons to Syria and anti-ship missiles to Iran despite American protests. Chavez says "piss off" in no uncertain terms. The reason is the quagmire in Iraq and the manpower deficit in the US miltary, plus the enormous budget deficit. It's basically not seen as probable that the US would engage in any more adventures for a while.

But Rummy's Star Wars plans probably worry people in the longer term.

5. In would agree with you on their actions....
but I fear their motivation is because they are afraid of what these pricks in office could do... You cannot deal with degenerate and insane leaders - that would be our leaders....

These are defensive moves to protect their own countries...

7. What happened in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland?
the rest of the world then saw the threat. Hitler was not appeased at Munich as they thought he would be, and he went ahead with his power grab for global domination...what did the rest of the world do?

Flash forward, the have seen this administration invade a country with no justification. But will they stand by and allow it to happen again?

Also take into account that our government changes every 4 yrs. they may be waiting it out, cautiously watching.

8. Once again probably
and the GOP will use it to campaign.

I can just see it now, vote for the Dems and the USA will be attack, vote for the repubs and we will keep the country safe.

Conquer and divide that is their motto. They could care less about unifying the country. They just need 51% of Americans who care enough to vote.
