Al Sharpton to be mentored by Rush Limbaugh
OK. I've heard it all now.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/314682p-269170c.html

Last week - after Matrix Media announced a deal for Sharpton to host a "Limbaugh of the Left"-type talk radio show - the conservative radio star said he'll think about mentoring the minister in the finer points of the medium.

Yesterday, Sharpton contacted me to say he's eager to accept the sort-of offer to (as Limbaugh put it on his own show Friday) "let guest-host the program for, like, 30 minutes at a time while I am sitting here critiquing him."

Sharpton told me: "I was a little surprised, but I'm willing to take him up on his speculative offer. I think it would be interesting. It would be something that both of us can learn from. He can learn some of the thoughts of the left, and I can learn some of the techniques of the right. Let's see if he's serious."

Yesterday Limbaugh's producer, Kit Carson, assured me that he's in earnest. "At this point, Rush is still undecided," Carson said. "He's very flattered that Rev. Sharpton is interested in doing this. Rush is still considering giving him some pointers, some tutoring.

2. It's really very simple
Take the side of your party's leader every time. Present everyone who disagrees with him as a fringe lunatic

Use lies to back up your points if necessary, do it completely unashamed and present it as fact even if it is just an opinion or a rumor.

Bring up shit from 10 years ago or more if you get stuck. Go back to colonial times if you have to. Make up quotes from the founding fathers if it helps, no one will fact check this.

I hope this happens just because it would be interesting.

4. If it's so simple how is it that Limbaugh's weekly audience is
15 million listeners while no liberal host even reaches 1 million?

http://www.talkers.com/talkaud.html - numbers taken from Arbitron ratings

I think Sharpton should take Limbaugh's offer and be a good student of the technique. Nothing succeeds like success.

8. The link says that they just took the Arbitron ratings
and took the top 30 from it. Apparently there is no liberal radio talk show host in the top 30 talk shows by audience. That tells me that if Sharpton wants to succeed, he may as well take lessons from Limbaugh.

her name on the list? Right wing has 43,000 hours times vs Left wing, they only have 3,300 hours.

11. I looked again - the list was based on
Arbitron ratings from Fall, 2004. If you have updated ones, please post a link.

9. It's a simple formula
but not so easy to execute. No one follows my exact formula except for Rush and Hanitty - no one else. Both of them are very successful. No one on the left follows my formula, and I wouldn't want them to. It might be effective as propaganda, but in all honesty it would be as ridiculous as Rush and Hanitty.

3. Pigboy will back down.
He falls apart when people talk back. That's why he fell for that talking head Kagan from CNN...it's like owning a friggin' parrot!

He'll back down, guaranteed.

"I can't work with the good Reverend, as much as I was looking forward to it...this pimple on my ass precludes my serving as a mentor."

12. Don't forget Sharpton's Presidential run was partly funded
by Republicans. He is not to be trusted.

13. The Rev. is brilliant with his words

he thinks deeply.

Rush is desparate to keep his ratings even though hehas good ones now. The greedy always want more.

Rev. Al would be stepping into dangerous waters and "being coached and mentored" by the likes of Rush would be like being a slave -- the idea is slippery at best.

But who knows, in my mind, the Rev. would be better on national TV and replace George Step. ,the wimp, or Donna Brazille, another wimp.
