Poll question: Clark, Hillary, Gore, Kerry, Edwards or Rubber Ducky for 2008 Pres!
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 11:29 PM by KoKo01
The heat is on and here's the June Poll for 2008 Presidential Candidate.

If we can find agreement soon enough we can get our signs printed, our buttons produced and our bumper stickers on before June 15th. We can get this thing wrapped up and have all Summer to Campaign. Hell we have almost four years to campaign! Have at it!

24. Before I vote for Mr Duck, I demand to know
1. What is his position on the toxic waste generated by bath products
2. What is his health policy... (he better agree to a first alert bracelet in every bathroom, or there will be picketing!).
3. Is Big Bird his first nomination for SCOTUS?
4. Is he a neochicken in duckie clothing -- er, uh... feathers?
5. How long has he been a duck.... didn't he vote for some chickens earlier in his career?
6. Can he quack a speech to 'talk the owls out of the trees'?
7. Has he floated any new ideas on curing potential pandemics--specifically the Asian bird flu?
8. Is the Grudge report that he was seen with ducklings true?
9. Isn't there a swan in his family? (whats with up that?!??!?!?!??!)
10. Will he sink the budget by insisting on tax breaks for egrets while worker birds are left to pay the price?
11. Can he warble "Let the Eagle Soar?"
12. Will he explain what his campaign slogan "A chicken in every pot" really means?
13. When he said he could defeat other water fowl quickly, did he really have to say "like SH*T through a goose"? Does it mean an air war and miscellaneous bombing?

Now that I've thought about it a little, you may be on to something here. Mr. Duck may just start a whole new 3rd party.

42. BAD POLL...
I am sorry, but this is silly, one of the choices ought to be:

"You are wasting peoples' time on hypotheticals"

if you need something to do, roll up your sleeves and get working on '06 congressional campaigns, I know there are plenty of candidates looking for volunteers.

We need to win the house and senate, preferably in your state too, to even begin thinking about the WH in '08.

Waste of time poll.

60. Wes Clark always gets a minimum of 90 votes in every DU poll
Nothing wrong in having a group of dedicated supporters.

But, don't you think it is a bit premature to engage in these games? We have far more pressing issues in front of us, for example, which of the names listed (except for rubber ducky) has said anything about the Downing Street Memo? Shouldn't the partisans on this board be calling their preferred candidate to raise the issue of Bush lying to the country about WMDs? Shouldn't they be mentioning the "I" word?

I am sure that if we exert enough pressure on our politicians, eventually one of the Presidential wannabees will say "IMPEACH BUSH!"

Let's hope it happens sooner rather than later.

61. My post is actually about fun...you just need to read the original a littl
more carefully. I think it's too early to pick a candidate. That's why "Ducky" is my choice.

I understand that most of us read quickly these days and there's little time for "nuance." I'm guilty of that myself. I posted because of frustration with "early candidates" when we have almost three years to go.

Thanks for your comments, though. I hear ya...

Give a vote for the "Duck." He's the one waiting in the wings...

65. It was an observation, but I will add the following comment...
I believe it is vitally important that we refrain from the bad blood that permeated campaign 2004. Let us recognize that we need a united front in 2006 and in 2008 to challenge the theo-fascists that hold the reign of power. Let us accept the fact that we have two groups of people opposing the Bush regime: the Democratic partisans, and progressive-issues activists. Many of the past fights in DU pitted the former against the latter because of the latter's disdain for political triangulation. Let us work united despite our differences for if we fail in this endeavor, we will also lose our last chance to save the Republic.

Of course, this does not mean that we must be less forceful in advancing our causes and/or candidates, it just mean that we must be more vigilant against those that seek to fracture the grand coalition in 2008.

I promise to do my part...

I believe he knows more about and understands America better at this time in its history than anyone in politics.

He is a good man, a smart man, and one who believes in the things I do.

If Al Gore runs for president, he has my total support, and I intend to go Roosevelt Grier on the ass of anyone who fucks with him.

69. Why does the MSM keep saying Hillary??
They are all convinced that she is the one.

Every site I have been on gives her low #s.

Personally, I am still waiting for her to impress me.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.

So why do they keep saying Hillary?
