13. I feel the same way you do about Mr 5 Star......
So I avoid his posts and actually have many of his zealots on Ignore. It works for me. It has made my DU experience less hostle and more enjoyable.

2. Stop being such rule-making, controlling ballbusters
and start worrying about something meaningful instead, like whether the chemtrails are particularly bad today.

3. I don't mind 2008 threads......
Just ones that are obviously partisan to a single candidate.

4. What I don't like is when someone goes into a thread about
threads about other threads and says he doesn't like when someone goes into a thread about threads about other threads and says he doesn't like when someone goes into threads about other threads and says he doesn't like threads about other threads.

11. Can't argue with a good old fashioned pie fight!
In retrospect, that should have been Kerry's strategy for the third debate.

10. I pretty much stay out of them.
They seem to be fairly pointless, and promote alot of divisiveness and hurling around of accusations. I have no problem with threads about potential candidates based on things that they're actually doing, but the "_____ in 2008" threads that are just blind promotion (coupled with attacks) just seem counterproductive at this point.

I don't think those threads do the potential candidate any good either. Much better is a thread that talks about what that person is doing and saying. Don't tell people that X would be a good candidate, talk about what they're doing that might demonstrate why they would make a good candidate, or even just talk about them as Democrats as part of the bigger picture of what Democrats are doing to take back the country.

I also don't like the finger waving posts, or the ones that accuse a particular group of supporters of pushing their candidate while ignoring the same behavior in other groups of supporters.

12. stop at 2007 threads, or to be safe, 2006 or 5 or 4, just in case
just in case someone else posts the 2008th thread. Or you could just hijack one of the other 2007 threads.
