Atoning for Rowland's Sins, Rell (R) shocks CT with REAL election reform!
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 06:49 AM by Atman
WOW. I gotta say, I'm kinda blown away. In fact, after years of Bush-Buddie-Crook John Rowland bilking us dry, his successor, Jodi Rell, has knocked our socks off TWICE in the past 24 hours...

First, we find out Rell has called for public funding of state elections. Zounds! Story

Then, while we're still catching our breath, it is reported that Connecticut has passed legislation requiring auditable paper trails on any electronic voting machines. Story

Could staid, stodgy, boring old Connecticut turn out to be a stronghold of progressivism? The cynic in me says "be wary, this is a Republican." But so far, I'm finding it tough to argue with either of these initiatives! Good on ya, Jodi. Now, if you can just use your powers to demand a REAL prison sentence for that lying bastard former boss of yours, I might even consider casting a vote for you.
