What I think would make an ideal candidate
They would have the articulated fire of Dean, the message of Kucinich, and the good looks of Edwards.

1. The only person I can think of that has all 3 of the these qualities NOW
is Al Gore. I think he is our man for 2008

2. I suppose that's all in the eye of the beholder, but
I don't think Al Gore has any of those three. He most DEFINITELY does not have Kucinich ideology. Non-campaigning Al Gore has some fire, but campaigning Al Gore lacks it. And looks... well, I won't even go there, but I don't think he ever had women swooning the way Edwards does.

3. Sorry to disagree with you BUT, the man is on fire now and believe me,
he is very good looking (better looking in person than on tv) You have the right to your opinion but there are many many many people who have the same opinion that I have about Al Gore. I know several people who really has never been interested in politics but they did vote for Gore. These folks where PISSED when theY witnessed the stolen election in 2000 and they will not be happy until Al Gore takes the title of the President of the United States. These folks have told me that they have NEVER campaigned for a candidate before but they WILL if Al Gore runs for re-election.
GORE 2008!!!!!!!!

4. Read Stiglitz's Roaring Nineties -- the chapter on Gore's telecom bill --
and tell me if, after reading it, you still think Gore's the guy you want running the country.

7. YEP! He is the man I want in 2008. He will make a great President IF
he is able to accept the title(and it's not stolen again or the republicans don't knock him off)

6. Okay, I never really disagree with THAT.

I disagreed that Al Gore was handsome, held the same beliefs as Kucinich, and was fiery. He may now be fiery, but he assuredly does not have the other two qualities. I don't think any of that matters in assessing whether or not Al should run again. I think he should, for one, and I think he might be our strongest candidate, if and only if, he keeps that fiery attitude he's learned post-2000 campaign.

Russ Feingold to me!

However, I would add another quality that I find very appealing in an ideal candidate--the inner strength and dignified bearing of Clark!

(couldn't resist entering into a "puff" thread as AP talks about them often--sorry):hi:
