The Repubs criticize all potential Democratic nominees... |
|
and there is very little talk or criticism or polls about potential Repub candidates for president? Why is that? We see polls about Hillary on FOX-TV and in many major newspapers, but we see little speculation about who the Repub nominee will be or who is ahead or behind for the Repubs. The effect of all this is to tear down any possible Democratic candidate before any primaries are held. Everytime we see a poll about Hillary, we should look for one about Jeb Bush or Dick Cheney or whomever the Repubs might choose? They should be under similar scrutiny.

is so rampant in the Republican Party these days they're probably AFRAID to put these people under the microscope one second before they absolutely have to. The less time the few remaining intrepid reporters have to dig up dirt on them, the better their chances.
Gods, the republicans got it made. They can expect truth and fairness out of Dems, but damned if they're going to give what they get.
If Fox News ceased to exist tomorrow, would anyone notice? Or care? No one I know.

2. We should start doing polls and then give them to the media |
|
Then raise holy hell when they refuse to talk about it.

And in pretty much the same terms you would hear on Fox, too.
Maybe there's a lesson in that for us?

6. But that is my point... |
|
We do it but they do not. We suffer the consequences by indulging in such polls and speculation. They do not. They reap the rewards because they watch us decapitate our leaders.

Because they don't have the candidate who's running away in the polls that we do. In the eyes of the MSM Hillary will be the Democratic candidate the second she's announced her candidacy. These polls have her at like 40% with Kerry and Edwards running in at 17 and 16% and everyone else getting 3% or less. In there eyes our primary is a done deal. The only person who I've seen say Hillary wasn't a lock in the MSM was believe it or not Mary Matalin. On the other hand the Republicans have John McCain leading with 19%. They don't have that 1 person you can focus on they have some people saying Frist, some saying Allen, some saying McCain and many others.

8. Do you really believe that? |
|
I do not for a second. And I think it hurts us as a Party to debate such nonsense and that it helps the Repubs that we indulge in this type of speculation.

12. Yes I do believe that. |

I don't hear anything about Kerry or Edwards or Warner in 2008 except very meniscule conversations and they are usually just dismissed as having no chance and so the MSM can focus solely on Hillary. The Republicans don't have that one person whom the MSM can focus on so that's why they don't do that.

completey. I definetely don't believe Hillary has our nomination locked up, and honestly I don't believe she'll get the nomination. But I also believe that the Republican nomination is completely up in the air.

9. So they're smarter than us. |

Or at least our leaders. Maybe that's why we keep losing elections.
