Video Of Howard Dean's Appearance On 'Wolf Blitzer Reports'
I thought you guys would enjoy this video. Howard Dean is really getting better at these TV gigs. Also, I'm glad he stuck by his comment about the GOP.

14. Exactly Right!
Yet another wonderful video clip. I missed the live broadcast because I only watch CNN when I have to.

3. THANKS! It's an excellent view for DU'ers wondering what DNC Chair
is doing for us. Unlike the "Former Chair Mr. Lobbyist in My Bankaccount" Howard Dean is really working for US ...the Common Man..and OMG he's really great at it.

Listen to how he over-rides Blitzer and slays the Repug Dragon Talking Points.

Some criticism from Dem's is that he doesn't get into Vote Fraud/DRE's and he isn't putting out the "Downing Street Memo Minutes." But, that isn't his Job Description.

Where are the "Back Up Troops" for Dr. Dean? Where are the OTHERS IN DEM LEADERSHIP who should be OUT THERE backing him up?

They seem absent. Kerry works on his "Health Care for Kids." Edwards promotes his new "Poverty Center" at UNC in Chapel Hill, NC.

But the very people that we intrusted with our votes are "silent."

Let's give it to Dr. Dean in his role as "CEO of DEM PARTY!" So far...he's an A+...love it!!!

It was like Howard was under cross-examination. That useless piece of shit Blitzer should just place his lips firmly around Bush's dick where it belongs.

10. Dean made the points that need to be made over and over
Repukes are out of touch with the common people. Repukes are for big governments with huge deficits and for intruding into private family affairs.

As another poster said, where are the other Dems who are echoing Dean's points?

Dean has got to be just getting better and better swiping down the predictable rhetoric from the timmys, wolfies, judys of this world.

Doesn't wolfie listen to himself on tv? Can't he hear what a whinger he is?

13. Blitzer totally lost control.
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 09:18 PM by NightOwwl
Dean had him so flustered he lost his trademark monotonous drone. Then he had the nerve to tell Dean he should be more "precise" in his language. (Wolf, just because you are too stupid to understand him doesn't mean we are.) Objective and professional, that's Wolf for you. :sarcasm:

ETA: Blitzer is a complete and total ass who wouldn't know journalism if it bit him on the butt. I would love it if during one of these interviews Dean would call him out on his unprofessional conduct.

17. Wolf Blitzer had a good point, peoples.
Make no mistake, my man Dr. Dean kicked butt on that interview.

However, what Blitzer was(rather dogmatically) pointing out is that Dean does the Dems no favors by saying "republicans" when he really means "current republican leadership". Blast away, Dr. Dean, but be clear you're targeting "republican leadership", not the 50 million folks who voted for the Dark Side in 2004 but may now be looking for a face-saving way to join the Force.

Dean himself said Blitzer had a point about language precision. He also pointed out in the interview that the Democratic party was beginning to look like the Republican party of the 70s, at least in terms of fiscal responsibility, personal freedom, and accountability. If that's a message he wants Republican voters to hear, then he really does need to be careful to say "I hate the current republican leadership", not "I hate republicans".

24. In agreement on this point - Dean hates repug LEADERSHIP
not the misled but loyal repugs theyselves. Needs to fine tune himself on that one.

Otherwise he kept the right tone, stayed "on message" and got the message across beautifully! Feels good to have a spokesman who will tell the truth about what many of us (prob'ly not all of us ) believe.

37. Blitzer badgered and spewed, but the point was valid
Don't mess up the message.

We got to take a clue from the Repubs, get the message clear and simple--Republican leadership is corrupt--and then repeat ten thousand million times.

Don't get sloppy with the message and open yourself up to the charge that you're saying ALL Republicans are corrupt. Then you have to waste time with people like Blitzer explaining what you meant.

Just keep it consistent and simple and self-explanatory

Republican leadership is corrupt, corrupt, corrupt...

38. Furthermore...
I don't recall the Corrupt Republican Leadership ever saying the Democrats were a problem, just those wacky liberals.

In that vein, he's correct. Wolf's still a total ass, but he is correct.

Right under the "Click to Start Video" with Dean's picture is a link called "WMV Link". Right click on that and click "Save target as" and you can let it download to your hard drive and watch it anytime you want to. :)

Oh, by the way, the file is about 11 Mb. so it will take awhile to download on dial-up, but if you've got the time, go for it!

28. All In All, It Was A Total Smackdown
Yes Leslie had a point about being precise but Dean handled it beautifully. Dean, by saying he should be more precise, confronted it without the least bit of DISSEMBLING. I particularly loved when Les tried to twist his words and Dean called him on it. I would love to see all dems handle the media the way he does. Leslie's petulant tone didn't serve him well in the least.

after Blitzers busts the "I hate Republicans and everything they stand for..." quote: FIGHTING WORDS. I see that CNN has taken a cue from Faux News with respect to their Democrat smearing policies. Nice one guys! You make the pussies at Newsweek look like a bunch of dumbass Dubyas.

P.S. Thank all that is holy for Howard Dean. As I watched, I couldn't help but think, "This man will be the undoing of the treasonus liar who currently occupies the office of the President of the United States."
