It's time to stop being terrified of being honest
I just saw a thread about fear of going for impeachment. Bush is a crook and a traitor and we have more than enough evidence to prove it. I know a great many FORMER DEMOCRATS who say our party lacks credibility because it won't stand up for impeachment and against Bush. All Democratic Senators voted for the Real Death Camp Act because they were afraid of how the media would spin a vote against Death Camps. Every religious, environmental and civil rights group opposed this bill. When the Gun Owners of America and the Garden Club of America, along with hundreds of other organizations, oppose a Repubican bill, it's time for our Democratic leaders to get some courage.

Remember when the Democratic Party was the MAJORITY party? I do. Now that it lost it's will to stand up for truth, it is a MINORITY Party. It is disentegrating more and more each day. Check the registration figures and join me in telling our leaders to stand for something and to stop backing the Republicans.

1. Chicken or egg?
"Now that it lost it's will to stand up for truth, it is a MINORITY Party."

I see it as it became a minority party, then (feeling it had to appease everyone) it lost the will to stand up for truth.

I agree with the bottom line. Enough is enough. Stand up for what's right and let's get it on.

2. Concur 100%
I don't accept any notion of fear of pursuit of the issue. However, there will be political fall-out if it isn't handled properly, especially before mid-term elections. I recommend the following as a beginner's guide:

3. I'd love to see
the specific, first-source evidence. What we have are some secondhand source materials and a lot of pretty good intuition. Not enough just yet. Impeachment will ONLY have a chance if there is such a public outcry that congressional rethuglicans see themselves pushed to the wall -- highly unlikely.

Being rational isn't the same thing as being afraid.

That said, it certainly doesn't hurt to keep this theme in play to lend additional weight to the Republican Corruption message that is key to some wins in '06.

4. That's part of the Radical RW gameplan...
To try to get us to feel dirty for having Progressive values.

I'm sorry, but I refuse to feel dirty for demanding responsibility from all and wanting opportunity for all.

5. The Downing Street Minutes are not secondhand source materials.
It is an official document, minutes taken of a meeting. OFFICAL Government minutes. Stating that intelligence was being created to take us to war in Iraq. The war was planned based upon lies.

B* had stood before the American people and the Congress and LIED to take us to war.

7. Personally, I think Bush is the one who is terrrified right now,
terrified that we Dems are actually mentioning the "I" word, more and more each and every day. In all honesty, I think he's shitting his pants for the first time that an impeachment attempt might actually materialize.
