I was just checking this thread.

A "kick" is when someone posts under a thread, the main thread will then start at the top of the column in which it was posted. So if the topic had slipped down to the 20th slot, it will be "kicked" back up to 1, 2, 3 or 4, depending on how fast things are running.

Anyway, that's how I've interpreted it. Since I'm writing now, this topic will move back up where more people are likely to see it. Most of the time, once something has gone to the 2nd page it's almost impossible to get a reply because too much is happening.

You can do a "search" for topics, but unless you donate at least $35.00 the "search" option is not open to you.

13. I think it's because each time a reply to a main

thread is posted, that main thread gets back on top of the forum (Page 1). This is a way to try to make as much certain as possible, that every "newly arriving" reader into the forum may stand a better chance to see it (and thus to read it).

Sometimes, even if no exact words can describe the current feelings, adding a reply, a Recommend for Greatest Page, and a

I sent an e-mail about John Conyers and DSM to my congressman Norm Dicks,(Dem) he sent back an automated "I'll get back to you later" form letter. Perhaps if more of his constituents sent in similar inquiries, he may do as John Kerry did earlier today.

democracy in this country. He was a busy man, working hard, when his consitutents were just his local Michigan voters. Now I wonder how he ever sleeps, because he has taken the whole country as his constituents and has yet to back down on a major issue that I can recall. He is the truest form of a hero - and this at a time when we need a hero to lead the way, focus our efforts and hopes, and unite us all.
