1. That high? Oy...
I thought it was lower than that, or perhaps that's a different poll. And only half think the country's going the wrong way? Unsettling.

2. and you know that 46% really means 6%
but 40% of the other side would never have the balls to admit it.

Just the same, 46% is really atrocious for an incumbent wartime president.

3. If I could select 46% of Americans to be taken by the rapture right now...
I know what 46% it'd be.

11. Signed it, passed it, reminded everyone to pass it on, and
emailed John Conyers telling him he's my hero.

(Thanks for laughing at my joke.)

4. I've never seen true conservatives so upset
Bush has denied every conservative principle there is. He refuses to place security on our borders and the deficit is out of control. He's also decided to be the world's policeman.

6. I agree
what's conservative about him?

Growing government, heavy debt, expensive war, global policemen, government intrusion into our live with the patriot act.

He got religion and some "I'm a kick-ass cowboy" thing going and that's about it.

7. Rasmussen is at 53%
see http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1827941

I think Zogby is closer to the truth. Rasmussen is in fantasy land.

18. Isn't Rasmussen admittedly pro Bush?
Granted Zogby is probably anti Bush but given the circumstances, I think Zogby is closer to the truth. Bush hasn't produced jack shit since he was "re-elected" in 2004 and he was on the wrong side of the fillibuster issue and the Terri Schiavo issue. Not to mention the fact that American kids are still coming home from Iraq in body bags. There's absolutely no reason that he should have a higher approval rating than the percentage of votes that he got on election day.

8. nothing has really changed since 2000
those who backed Gore and Nader in 2000 still disapprove of Bush, those who voted for Bush in both elections still approve.

13. I'm surprised his rating hasn't tanked into the 30+ percentile
THE COUNTRY'S WORST PRESIDENT EVER.........bar none.

BUSH= a first class liar, a criminal, a murderer, a cheat, a warmonger, indecent, vulgar, and inhumane, a classist, he's anti American Democracy, antichrist, and.......a sociopath.

14. Not to nitpick
but why does Zogby have "fair" in the negative category? Would everyone who said "fair" vote against him? Would all those who said "fair" not approve of the job he's doing?

15. what does fair mean to you?
to me it means third rate..or kinda sucky. If my boss says I only did a fair job, he is telling me to improve.

16. I think of "fair"
as average. Not bad, not good, just kind of blah. I wouldn't necessarily vote against a "fair" candidate.

19. Maybe this will slow down their extremist agenda.
Hopefully we won't see a draft or anymore assaults on social security. Who knows though.
