I had to post this. I have been watching Fox "News" lately and I am sickened by their constant lies.
The woman who was interviewing Ted Danson and Mary Steinbergen just said Clark used to be a Republican. That is a blatant lie. Clark has never been a Republican. We, liberals and Democrats, should boycott Fox News. Nearly all regular Fox News viewers are right wing ideologues anyway. We have no interest in "reaching" that constitutentcy.

1. We can't start a new thread every time Fox News lies : ) |
|
Clark was a registered Independent until he changed registrations to the Democratic Party. Their lies are scandalous, for sure.

Ummm... OK, agreed; except that they're not saying "Clark was a Republican" to turn off Republican voters. The GOP is making a concerted effort to *PREVENT* Clark from becoming the Democratic candidate. The right-wing attacks that have been coming against Clark only work in the Democratic primaries.
Regardless of what Joe Lieberman says, General Clark is the candidate that the Republicans fear the most in the General Election, because (1) he has extensive military leadership experience, (2) has most accurately framed the Bush Administration's negligence in the war against global terrorism, and (3) would pull *MANY* swing voters -- and even Republicans -- to the Democratic ticket.

10. Yeah, just wait, if Clark wins the nom he will be a "raving liberal"... |
|
Long gone will be any accusation he might have anything in common with their voter base.
It's all a fuckin' hoax to keep Dems from voting for him.

I've been boycotting Fox News since way back. It's one of the easier boycotts I've participated in.

the other two news networks either broadcast crap about People magazine celebs, Headliners and Legends, tech news, financial advice, or other pre-recorded drivel. If you do watch Fox, any anchor who makes false comments, including Page Hopkins in this case, who also told Ted and Mary they were good at "spinning things" because they're actors -- prompting Mary to say Fox was more the expert at that than they were -- just email them. Their e-mail format is:
Page Hopkins = page.hopkins@foxnews.com
Just consider it like "playing the ref" ... a very biased ref, but perhaps one that could be steered slightly less to the right. I've had many of their anchors concede mistakes or excessive examples of bias, so I think it can serve some purpose.
