I am worried......... If Michael Jackson is found guilty this week
it will totally dominate the news for several days.... and if this is the week that DSM was about to break through as a major story it will be buried and possibly lost forever.

1. or innocent, for that matter: they'll have (*)*#$ing "retrospectives" on
his life and work and the early 90s case and every other allegation will be gone over.
Then he--or whoever that is--will start talking

2. Do you really believe the media has any intentions of
giving any in depth coverage to the DSM? If Michael Jackson doesn't steal all the headlines something else will.

3. dominate the news for several days...?
I think it has already dominated the news for the past few months...

I don't think he will be found guilty...I have a feeling that he will be aquitted and then his new album will be out 6 months to a year later and it will sell millions...

just my opinion...

8. Will it sell enought that he won't have to sell off the Beatles' catalog
to pay his massive debts?

Damn.

I always hated it that Michael owned those songs. What's worse, George Harrison DIED with Michael owning them.

6. Don't worry. He'll be found innocent.
I really believe he did it. And I really believe he'll be found innocent.

Who knows, maybe he'll take up golf and join O.J. Motherfu**king Simpson on the golf course in his exhaustive search for the "real killers."

MOTHERFU**KERS.

O.J and Michael. TWO MOTHERF**KERS.

:grr:

15. Are you as upset at Robert Blake
whom many believe is the murderer of his wife, the mother of his little daughter? Most people were shocked at his acquittal.

16. I'm upset over anyone who did it and got away with it.
Doesn't matter if it's O.J. Simpson or Robert Blake or Snow Fucking White.

I believe O.J. Killed his wife.

I believe Michael molested those kids.

I believe Blake pulled the trigger.

If you're asking me if I'm a RACIST, listen up.

I'M NOT A FUCKING RACIST.

People of ALL COLORS KILL.

18. Oh please!
The fact that you chose to ignore two very recent cases in which white people were acquitted of murder and vented your outrage against a black man also acquitted, speaks volumes. In the mind of some people, a crime committed against a white person by an African American is far worse than that of a white who has committed the same offense. One would think that if race did not matter, the first name that would come to mind would be that of Blake, whose acquittal was less than three months ago. Durst was acquitted in 2003. He is also believed to have killed his wife and her friend. OJ was found not guilty in l994 yet it is he, the black man, against whom you express such outrage. It is rare that a black gets away with harming a white person in this country. Sometimes even innocent black people wind up in prison on the accusation of someone from the majority community. OJ was a rare instance in which a black man with adequate resources managed to keep himself out of prison. Michael Jackson might not be so lucky. On the other hand, it is common for whites who have harmed blacks to never be charged, or if prosecuted, are exonerated by all white juries. The white killers of Emmet Till went to their grave never having spent a day in jail. They went before all white juries who refused to convict them.

If OJ is guilty, one day he will pay for his crime. However, given the fact that other well known persons have also been acquitted of the same crime, I don't see why his face should be used as that of the murderer.

14. Why bring up OJ?
He was acquitted over ten years ago. Why not mention Robert Blake, just acquitted. Maybe Jackson, if acquitted which most pundits believe will not be the case, will join Robert Blake and Robert Durst on their travels about the country. I am puzzled why you are bringing up the lone black celebrity who was tried and acquitted and not two white guys also found not guilty. Rober Blake and Robert Durst were found not guilty within the last three years yet you reach back ten years to vent your rage at a lone black celebrity who had enugh resources to gain an acquittal while ignoring two whites who fared similarly.

17. See post #16.
Playing the race card is bullshit.

Blake did it and got away with it. O.J. did it and got away with it.

So much for playing the race card.

Though, more so if he is convicted.

13. Just a guess, but I can't imagine that a verdict would come in this week..
...they just deliberated, and I imagine--since this is a high-profile case that dragged out--the jury will need some time before they reach a verdict.

Who knows. I'm guessing they deliberate through this week though.

21. Jackson Distraction is going to be hogging the news all week...
Maybe Bush will send out a statement on Tuesday at midnight.

This Jackson Distraction is just filler for the impending strike on Iran by Israel around July 3rd.

Don't forget the hottie blond lost in Aruba. That can spin off in a hundred distracting and ultimately meaningless directions.

Let's hope for Florida shark attacks too. Summer fin fun!

we'd have wall to wall Hillary Duff coverage, or some other bullshit.

It doesn't matter what the distraction is, they'll always find one.

25. He'll get acquitted in my opinion.
Like someone once said:

"America has the best justice system that money can buy."

I think if Jackson were just some ordinary black man who wasn't famous he would have been convicted for child molestation already back in '93.
