The CIA and the Vatican ARE the Illuminati

Hey, don't blame me, I'm just the messenger here. For many, many years I have resisted the term "Illuminati" and everything linked to it. HOWEVER, thanks to DU over these several years, I've come to understand that the Bush Crime Family, as Octafish put it so brilliantly:

So maybe I've just let the NAME "Illuminati" -- and that good old discrediting by calling something a "conspiracy theory" get in the way of the truth(s) I've come to by other means and methods? In any case, here's a quote from an article I stumbled across as I was doing some googling:

Soon after the American Revolution, John Robinson, a professor of rural philosophy at Edinburgh University in Scotland and member of a Freemason lodge, said that he was asked to join the Illuminati. After studying the group, he concluded that the purposes of the Illuminati were not compatible with his beliefs.

In 1798, he published a book called "Proofs Of A Conspiracy," which states:

"An association has been formed for the express purpose of rooting out all the religious establishments and overturning all the existing governments.... The leaders would rule the World with uncontrollable power, while all the rest would be employed as tools of the ambition of their unknown superiors."

The CIA and the Vatican have rooted out all the religious establishemnts in the world. The CIA has overthrown and set up dictators under their control all over the world. The CIA and the Vatican have fullfilled the purpose of the Illuminati. The CIA and the Vatican _are_ the Illuminati.

Edited to add: I STILL don't know that I buy the Illuminati as an organized group that call themselves that, but there ARE people and groups, and parts of the CIA included (don't know about the Vatican, tho I am aware of some of their less-than-lovely shenanigans over the years), who do NOT have "the people's" best interests at heart. Some of them are the Bush Crime Family and their whole circle of friends.

1. The Alien and Sedition Acts

Robinson's book raised hysterical fears among America's ruling class that the radical social upheaval of the French Revolution might come to these shores as well. That panic was the main cause of the passage of the Alien and Sedition Acts.

For over two hundred years, the ruling class has refused to believe that the people of the nation might spontaneously seek genuine democracy. They've preferred the notion that some sinister conspiracy was stirring them up to rebel against their natural masters. (Much as they believed in the 60's that the civil rights movement must have been instigated by communist instigators, because surely black folks would never have thought of it on their own.)

At times, one faction of the ruling class might find it convenient to accuse another faction of being behind the Illuminatus bogeyman. But that's only a ploy. The real significance of the Illuminati is that they symbolize the three genuine revolutions -- in government, economics, and technology -- that took place during the same c. 1776-83 period when the real Bavarian Illuminati briefly flickered in and out of existence. It is that three-way revolution that the right has never accepted and is still doing its best to overturn to this day.

I don't want to believe that the Vatican is evil because there are many true believers who don't have any thoughts in their heads about ruling the world.

The CIA has proved that they are evil. They went from protecting us to taking over other countries and allowing or causing death, theft, and destruction.

If Illuminati is evil, is it their leaders and those they let in to get their mission accomplished?

It can't be everyon in the Church. It can't be everyone in the CIA?

I don't get it. Are we always wrestling with the deeds of the leaders? Is all the suffering in the world coming from leaders?

3. If they started at the time of the Revolution, is physics involved?

They went slow, easy, and quietly since the Revolution. Many of us were not aware of it/them until well into our self-education resulting from horrible changes in our country. It/they are moving lightening fast now. Slow to fast...just like our universe - who is keeping up with whom? Where the heck are we going?

Just another name for the pockets of real power that exist around the globe. We know they exist but we really don't know who they are. The concentration of wealth, and the accelerating nature of the accumulation, tells us it is so. Unless you think they're just lucky.
