Who has a copy of the Downing Street Minutes?
Did I miss the part where someone actually has a copy other than the UK govt.? If it was only reported in the British news that could be a problem for us here in the U.S. when we try to get more information from our govt. I'm a very poor investigator/reseacher, help.

We have the name of the author, Rycroft, and who received copies but where or who gave it to the paper? In other words, how do we know it is legit? By the way, I did google Manning and found info on the article in the May issue of Vanity Fair. Did not know they had an article concerning the early war planning, truly interesting, discussing diaries by Clare Short, International Development Secretary. Ms. Short was assured by Blair that there were no plans for war on many occasions. She was against going to war and informed Blair that she would quit her post if that was the plan. Apparently her approval of Blair was important to the elections at that time.

9. Thanks,
Guess the bottom line is no one in the British government has disputed the document which gives it credibility. Paranoia may have set it in my case. While searching around trying to verify this evening I have found more backup for this whole coverup.

I have been wanting an absolute on this story and that is not possible at this point. That is why Conyers' efforts are so critical. Thanks again for being patient.

10. no problem, I've been searching around tonight trying to fill in time-line
time-lines -- like when Powell was supposed to go to the UN and the first information he was given he threw in the air and called it Bullshit -- from that search, found this link.

8. Truly did!
I had read it when it first came out and signed petition. I want to know who gave the minutes to the paper. Do we know they are the real deal. Hate to have another Dan Rather episode. I don't think Manning or Rycroft gave a copy to the paper, am I wrong?

11. I don't know who "leaked" the minutes
but no one is denying their authenticity. i suspect it was one of the fellas from the meeting who've about had it with this bushie administration.
