10 reasons why people are Pro-Bushies
interesting post from craiglist's of all places:

People,

Don't you know that all the pro-war, Pro-Bushies and anything they consider against their agenda people are benefitting in some way from this administration? Why do you bother to respond to them? Why do you think they are so defensive?

Any protests whether valid or obvious about this administration fall on deaf ears because they are only thinking about what they are getting out of it.

Most people behind this administration are happy with it for a few reasons:

1. They are making money in some way, shape or form.

2. They are lead to believe that the administration is removing obstacles to their making more money.

3. They don't like anybody who isn't like them in the first place. IE: race, religion, way of life.

4. They are bullies, so they applaude any show of force.

5. They are not affected by the problems that affect most of the people here in the united states.

6. They are resentful of any government policies that don't benefit them and since this administration is doing away with them, they support it.

7. They are in awe of total and absolute power and admire it no matter what the consequences.

8. They erroneously think that this government is serving their religious/moral interests.

9. They feel/are made to feel that going against anything their goverment does is unpatriotic. Some are in denial that this is no longer a great country so rather than face that face, they defend the government.

10. The most common reason that goes with each of the above, they don't care about anybody else or what happens to them. As long as they are fine, the rest can go to hell.

the mistaken belief that their personal security is being secured by the Bush administration's policy decisions. They have bought into the idea that they will be safer if "those ragheads are obliterated." They have somehow been lead to agree with the notion that people not like them are also not human. It's sickening.

It has nothing to do with religion or money. It is a basic "us v. them" mentality wrought by fear-mongering.

3. what's that "no longer a great country" part?
that seems to be a bit of circular logic.

If you think that this country is no longer a great country, you think that it once was and is not anymore. Of course there are many definitions of greatness.... I would agree with that statement if what is meant by that statement is that "it was a greater country before Bush." But isn't there a Bush BECAUSE of the Bushies?

So how could a Bushie being "in denial that this is no longer a great country" be the reason for their Bushiness?

And secondly, if you are not blaming Bush for the downfall of this nation from greatness, when was our country a great nation?

4. No. 9 is particularly true
unfortunately. This is no longer a great country or is exposing it's true nature under a barrage of Bush/media crap about threats from "evildoers". It is collapsing morally in attempting to claim "leadership" it has no right to any longer, given the high crimes and misdemeanors that his own party, Democrats like Biden, the media and an apathetic public that clings to the illusion of rightness based on a mindless USA!, USA!, USA! mentality.

5. They want "positive messages"
That's one thing I hear right wingers say that resonates. Liberals are negative, people want positive messages. So, how do you stop descending into oblivion, using positive messages? I think that's quite a challenge.

If you are a fascist, you just tell them what ever will make them compliant and feeling good about themselves. Play on their fears.

How do you be honest about a horrible situation and have people want to hear it?

Number 1. Look for the real reasons that people vote for bush rather than fantasies that only serve to flag our hatred of Bush.

Number 2. Figure out better policies to give the people what they want.

In particular, I think 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, & 10 are total BS.

#s 1, 2, 6, & 8 may have some validity to them.

#4 is just unthinking prejudice.

14. Reason #11
The Republicans have convinced a lot of people that they are entitled to receive govt benefits without having to pay the taxes to sustain them.
