I'm jealous of [insert state]'s US Senators
I wish they were mine.

Okay, which state's Senators do you wish were yours?

(conversely for states with good senators, which state's senators would you not take unless your family was being threatened.?)

10. My bad state is Oklahoma
Nothing short of a lobotomy could make me take those two. (Inhofe, who had a screed on the Senate floor two weeks ago about how Global Warming is a big left-wing conspiracy theory and Coburn, OMG!)

Kansas is real bad as well.

Worst speaker in the Senate: Lamar Alexander. The great speeches of Lamar Alexander is what is constantly playing in hell's waiting room.

Kerry/Kennedy: Ideal

California: Close second with Boxer only.

Honorable mention: Chris Dodd of Connecticut. The man blows me away with his common-sense approach to every issue I've heard him discuss.

Yes, it do suck. I'm in Pegram, right on the western border of Nashville. I grew up in Nashville. My house is in the woods adjacent to the Cheatham Wildlife Management Area, but only minutes from Downtown Nashville via I-40. The best of both worlds!

needless to say. Of course Frist is a POS. Alexander isn't a totally bad guy (former governor) but he's lockstep with the Repubs in his votes. He rarely if ever responds to emails also.

I'd love to have Boxer, Kennedy, and/or Kerry ::sigh::

I have never had a response from alexander, and I email and mail him quite frequently. As for Frist, I recieve a bs "we must do this to preserve our traditional conservative values" reply.

But, the good thing is Frist's term is almost up. Hopefully, we elect a DEM....if not, it's hopeless

45. Vermont, especially after 2006!
Even though I'm from California, where I'm especially proud of Boxer, I'd take Patrick Leahy any day, and Jeffords has shown a lot of strength and wisdom in turning away from the Republican party and being a people's politician.

Hopefully they will break ground for independents in 2006 when they elect independent Bernie Sanders to replace Jeffords in the "independent" slot! Bernie's awesome and with Leahy will be an great pair of reps for Vermonters (and many others too)!

I'm in Illinois. Not feelin' it.

But if I had to trade, the only real option is MA. Maybe MD. Or CA or WI, because Boxer and Feingold are so cool they can carry their lukewarm colleagues.

Now, there's a long way down to go from Mr. Durbin and Mr. Obama; lots of places look Senatorially scary. I'm going to have to say worst case scenario: OK or TX. :scared:

at least ONE Democratic Senator or even a decent, moderate Republican or even anyone who would actually write back or discuss things with. I am in Kansas with Brownback and Roberts, it is very lonely. They don't show up for meetings if they know you are not a Republican, it really stinks and it has been like this for years now.
