3. The level of expections is impossibly high today.
Since Kerry's comment in the paper on Thursday (?) the blogosphere has been going crazy with anticipation.

All he said was that he is going to raise the issue. He didn't promise some fiery floor speech (which seems to be what everyone seems to be expecting). And even if he does give a fiery floor speech, if other Senators don't follow his lead, the media probably won't even cover it.

5. Kerry's not in Washington today...
someone called his office earlier and was told that he wasn't in Washington today but still plans to do it as soon as possible.

7. wow, i agree with you there...
as it is, the media strains to find topics to over ride any legitimate news, so you can imagine that the Jackson thing will be an explosion that will obliterate anything else for days.
