Three days ago, I started an effort to bring the issue of the Downing Street Minutes into the public attention, by way of the professional organizations, unions and working people who deal with accuracy in record-keeping on a daily basis..
So far, I have got through to the American Association of Retired People, and the National Lawyers Guild. That means, so far I have got through to 35 million 6 thousand Americans.
am contacting the heads of all organizations with:
Contents:
Press Packet About the Downing Street Minutes
• The Minutes
• Two articles about what they are and their significance
• Statements from McClain, McClellan, Rice and others downplaying significance
• Statement of Congressman Conyers, with his letter
From there, distribution to all members of the organization. Encouraging four things:

1. e mail signature to Conyers' letter.

2. hard copy snail-mail to the white house.

3. hard copy snail-mail to the House Judiciary Committee, to say the people want this matter investigated and addressed immediately.

4. Urge all people to write Letters to the Editor of their local newspapers about this most important issue.

Point of This Project:
* To bring discussion of the Downing Street Minutes into the professional and working world.
* To get people to discuss the issue in lunchrooms, meeting rooms, and community halls all around the United States.
* Taking the issue into the Court of Public Opinion, the strongest force we have for justice, and fair and accurate reporting in the media.
