Where is Ted Olson?
He seems to be laying pretty low for such a high profile wing nut. I am guessing he is staying out of sight waiting for Rheinquist to resign and then be appointed as #1 Justice of the Court ??? What do you think?

1. He's on a dancefloor in a nightclub somewhere...
with his hand on a young gal's ass, telling her how he can get her a job as a Whitehouse correspondent if she "plays her cards right".

And is sometimes heard to remark "Barbara Who???"

3. It's possible...
... if only because he's the object of a great many rumors.

His nomination, I think, will depend on how successful Bush is in getting his really right-wing judicial wackos through the Senate in this go-round. If he gets all of those, he'll try for someone really far out for the Supreme Court. If he doesn't succeed in that, someone such as Olson is a possibility.

4. Um, Olsen IS "someone really far out"...
...in right field. How far right are you thinking? Is he going to nominate Stalin?

6. Given past experience...
... I think there's a justice on a court on Neptune waiting for Bush to make the call. Olson is far right, but not as far in that direction as some of the minor jurists in the South slavering for an appointment to the big court.

Roy Moore, for example.... (fuck, I scare myself thinking that way...).

You're right, or he is for sure. The man is a disaster waiting to infect the SCOTUS.

5. somebody is feeding him very well, or he likes their cooking very much, or
he is just simply eating too many fast foods, and not execising enough. flipping through the channels this week-end i saw an image of him delivering a commencement address somewhere. he looked like hed put on at least another whole person to his previously slim body.
