The DNC should hire Jamal Simmons forthwith.

11. Where else was he?
I must have missed it. And I hate to miss him because, if I may be so shallow, he is hotter than hell.

7. Paraphrasing
America won't trust Democrats to defend our country until they see that Democrats will defend Democrats.

12. Found it, Donna
"No Democrat can win in 2008 unless the American people believe that they can defend them! The American people will trust the Democratic Party to defend America, when they believe that Democrats will defend other Democrats." Wesley Clark, April 16, 2005

18. The Quotable Clark
Thanks for finding that.

Jamal was good on tv for Clark too. Much, much better than what'shishead.

We talked about Will Pitt's book and I remember passing him a note with the hope that he could set up an interview. If he passes by the blog again as he sometimes does, I'll thank him for this.

A brave man Jamal. From a remark made down-thread, it sounds as if Nuzak had him on in the usual 3 against 1. I'll try to catch the video tomorrow when I'm on a faster connection.

Wash Rinse Repeat:

"No Democrat can win in 2008 unless the American people believe that they can defend them! The American people will trust the Democratic Party to defend America, when they believe that Democrats will defend other Democrats." Wesley Clark, April 16, 2005

^^^^^^^^^

This isn't about what is being said; it is that it is being said in public. Don't these people have phones? What's with that!

4. Jamal has the GIFT!
Jamal would certainly be an extremely valuable asset to the DNC - BUT only until the world's coolest General needs him again!;)

Who is the spokesperson for the GOP?...It's basically much ado about nothing... the point is the country going down the tubes...

He's framing the debate, turning negatives into positives, and getting his own talking points in!

8. What a great set-up!
A right-winger gets to grill the Democrat, then they hand it off to two more right-wingers to comment on how full of crap the democrat is. Jesus. They don't even pretend to be fair or honest.

13. Amen, who is that blond, Ann Coulter wanna be? Her questions
aren't a little slanted are they?

"Is it better for the Democrats to drive a stake through Dean's heart now, or should they let him commit self-immolation through his own insane comments?"

Yeah, that's a fair assessment (sarcasm).

routine, basically agreeing with the pubs that Dean should tune it down. Because, heaven forbid, he wouldn't want to seem partial to one side or the other.

What the hell happened to him? He was great on Hardball.

16. Why didn't someone..
.... call that stupid bimbo on the things she said?

Like comparing our fundraising to Rep fundraising instead of comparing it to past fundraising?

Like pointing out that those things Dean said about Republicans were about THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP IN WASHINGTON, not rank and file Republicans?

Sorry, I don't think anyone did a very good job, and that Devan guy is almost as big a moron as the bimbo talking head.

comments that's the issue, it's the truth he tells that killing Republicans. I don't see any winners here. I see a bunch of hard-right assholes feigning indignation, and I see that Jamal guy diplomatically deflecting punches, but he's totally defensive.

What we need is George Galloway. "They died for a pack of lies!"

Dean refuses to read from the script that he's given--Republicans are good, simple farm folk and Democrats are sophisticated effeminate urbanites. Repubs believe in God and Dems believe in the right to believe, uh, whatever. Repubs are quick to fight for freedom and Dems are Frenchy surrender monkeys.

Dean simply does unto them them as they have done unto us, and it drives the right wing absolutely bananas. "How dare he!"
