Kennedy "released" a statement on "the memo" on his website.

So what? We have been "releasing" this info on the internet OURSELVES for weeks.

How about the TV-cable interview & debate shows? Local news shows? Local newspaper interviews? Op Eds? What is wrong with those outlets???

How do moderates & swing voters find out about a "release?" What is this info- a caged animal or something? "Released it?" What about TALKING ABOUT IT- ON TV instead of "releasing" info?

Whatever happened to going ON TV and drumming up the issue like the GOP does to us????

Now when DEM donors & volunteers like me complain "you did not fight Bush on the memo-you gave him another free pass" the DEMs will say: "NOOOOOO- didn't you read that website- we 'released' it but that mean old media would not repeat our talking points for us...now about that check..."

Nossir. Not buying it.

Stop "releasing" shit on a website that only the base will see- TALK ABOUT IT- ON TV where EVERYONE will hear about it.

Contact High Profile DEMs like Kerry, Dean, Reid, Kennedy, Obama, etc, etc and let them know that "releasing" this info on a site that only the Base sees is not enough- WE already know about it.

2. I know- I read your "releases."
Unfortunatley, no one in the swing states will ever read Dr Fate's Al-CIAda's or Kennedy's "releases."

3. I SO share your sentiment
Why were so many people falling over themselves with glee and cheering because Kerry was "going" to bring up the Downing street minutes when he gets back to Washington. Well, not Monday maybe - and I guess not Tuesday either.

I was reminded of the discussion of the filibuster compromise around here. Even if we couldn't have gotten better it still was no victory. There was no reason to cheer or congratulate anyone but the formerly held up judges I suppose.

Same here. Why all the excitment over Kerry's statement that he's going to do some undefined thing sometime in the future.

Are we so used to a roll over and expose your belly dem party that we can't help but get excited when someone SAYS they will do something?

At this point I am still not impressed that Kerry might take some kind of action sometime in the future. And I don't think anyone should be. If he's going to do something he should just do something. What's the point of telling people? So that the GOP and the mainstream media can start to anticipate and inoculate?

Every mention of the downing street minutes in the media will be followed here by posts of "Here we go. The Bush house of cards is about to collapse". What does that kind of cheerleading do for anyone?

Talking about the impending collapse of the Bush administration doesn't help bring it about. Talking about doing something doesn't get it done.

I'm afraid that the real effect of this talk of future possibilities is only to excuse a lack of actual action.

9. I've promised myself to give Kerry the benefit of the doubt for now.
I'm making a point about "releasing" DEM talking points and hoping the media will repeat it versus SAYING THEM directly to the media.

Kerry suggested he would make an issue of this- I'm waiting to see what he's gonna do.

But at least when the base complains, they can now say "We put a blurb about it on a low traffic web site, but Wolf Bilitzer (R) ignored it. So sorry- we tried. Now about that check..."
