Who said this? Take a guess.

“Bombing a sovereign nation for ill-defined reasons with vague objectives undermines the American stature in the world. The international respect and trust for America has diminished every time we casually let the bombs fly. We must stop giving the appearance that our foreign policy is formulated by the Unabomber.”

It's not who you think.

9. Exactly. Amazing how anti-war the Repubs were back then.
Amazing how the Repubs criticized a duly elected President in a time of war back then.

If I guessed that it was a RW Republican talking about Kosovo would I be in the ballpark?

Edit: I posted this before reading the thread. It looks like my suspicion that it was Tom Delay was correct.:)

7. I know but will keep it a secret
I'm sure the person feels the same about the war in Iraq now. I mean, that would be a consistent position, yes? No one of this person's standing and leadership would play politics with foreign policy?
*rolls eyes knowing the id of the moran who uttered the above*

12. Wow. Tom Delay said that about Kosovo?
Amazing how having the control changes perspective. I keep thinking of Abigail Adams saying "All men would be tyrants if they could."

They only attack abuses of power when they weren't the ones in charge.
