Army misses recruiting goal because conservatives are cowards
For the fourth month in a row the Army missed its recruiting goal. Even after lowering its goal the Army only made 75% of recruiting goals for May. Please ask conservatives you know how they can wave the flag and pretend they support our troops and act all badass and yet refuse to sign up and be a real patriot. Christian conservatives are ruining this country in so many ways.

1. Actually, they only made 62% of their goal

For May, they REDUCED the goal, to make the shortfall look less problematic.

Think they are worried much?

I do.

7. Don't give into the lie of 75%
The total monthly goals have been around 8,500 for the past 4 months not 5,000.

"The active Army was 2,150 recruits short of meeting its March goal of 6,800 new troops, and the Army Reserve fell 739 short of its goal of 1,600. These shortfalls were worse than those in February, when the Army and its reserve components failed to meet recruiting goals for the first time since May 2000."

the total is 8,400 goal for the month of march alone,

but because of missing goals they need only 5,000 now?

8. They only reduced the "monthly" goal for May. . .
the yearly goal remains in place -- they expect to make up the difference in the summer months, when they claim more people will sign up (as they'll then be out of school and unable to find work).

So what's seemingly happening is they are setting themselves up for an even greater failure in the summer, when they'll have to increase the monthly goals in order to attain the year-end numbers. Should be an interesting scene when those numbers are released -- quite an acrobatic dance will be required to make it look anywhere close to "good."

3. They voted for war so they could watch it on tv.
They love to watch war on teevee. It makes them feel proud to be Americans! It makes them feel superior to watch the US trounce a third-world nation. That is one of the few things in their miserable lives that makes them feel good about themselves. They are chickenshits, for lack of a better term.

6. That's why they keep cutting accessability to college
the newest scam is to deny entry to those students that don't have health insurance. So now these young adults can't find a job or get into school - doesn't leave them with too many choices. Once again it works against all but the wealthy.

and I wish some of our leading Democrats had the balls to say it in public. Not just once but over and over again. It's a point that needs to be driven home.

Our troops are being abused for the sake of Bush and the GOP's political convenience. All the flag waving and magnetic yellow ribbons aren't a substitute for fresh troops. Repeated combat deployments are taking a physical and mental toll. How much more are they going to be asked to sacrifice. As liberals it's not OUR war. It's the conservatives war, and they need to get up off their collective asses and take care of business. Their mouths have been writing checks their asses aren't willing to cover.

10. Here's the Graphic from the story, WHF was the deal with December?
Did they pull all the recruiters, Just in case we all Rioted after the 2nd STOLEN ELECTION?

Or was it just to make sure they made the numbers for at least ONE month in 2004?
