2. The only way I see impeachment possible is if the Dems,

by some magic, retake control of the House & Senate! I think the Senate is possible, but mathmatically, I think the best we can do in the House is to gain some seats.

Since Impeachment has to begin in a House committee, you will never see it done on a President who is the same party as those in control.

I think they'll either assist in impeaching the lame duck, assist in down-funding this quagmire, or the rightwingnuts will begin a campaign organized around calling the anti-war people TRAITORS. Dissent during The War Against Terror (TWAT) is going to get ugly.

And what happens to traitors here in the US who Repubs will consider 'aiding and abetting' ? You suppose the FEMA concentration camps of Operation Garden Plot and in CA Operation Cable Splicer will soon have 'happy campers' ?

Unless grow a set, take control of both the House and the Senate, then grow a bigger set still, and remove him from office.

Impeachment is a pipe dream. What we should look at is the 2008 election year, when our eight-year-long nightmare will be over and we can try to change the course of both the country and the world.
