tournaments for my son when I ran across a place called Spitting Image that had a headline that read, "Ohio Approves Electronic voting" and the date is May 11, 2004. Columbus, Ohio (AP)- Gov. Bob Taft signed a bill Friday authorizing up to 31 counties to switch to electronic voting machines in time for the Nov. 2 election. THE NEW LAW ALSO REQUIRES that by May 2006, such machines issue paper receipts confirming to voters their choices. Okay, why are we even worried about paper receipts when according to this AP story, this new law requires them??? Sorry, the link I had didn't work. The link I had was www.spitting-image.net/archives/001131.html. Where did this Story GO??????

that it's up to each individual state to decide on the paperless machines. I'm keeping up on the talk here in Jersey and if I hear that it's gonna become law, I'm gonna bitch to holy hell about it.
