Democratic leaders stand up for Dean: Anti-GOP rhetoric brought criticism

The headline is conflicted (they are standing up for him as they criticize him?), but the bottom line is that they are coming out in support at a press conference tomorrow.

Please, write to Reid!

We don't want to see them to straddle the "defend/criticize" line. The bits the people in the beltway bubble are obsessed about don't need to be defended or criticized. We want to see them focus on the substance of Dean's remarks and call attention to all the things of interest to folks outside the beltway that the GOP is trying to divert us from.

that you rarely see in print (see bold):

His supporters dismiss criticism of Dean as inside-the-beltway carping and maintain that Dean intends to build a new, more grass-roots donor base.

Perhaps folks are beginning to see how inane and irrelevant the “inside-the-beltway” world can be.
