Fox Democrats
Found this at mydd.com.

http://www.mydd.com/story/2005/6/8/103030/8522

I call the public backstabbers "FOX Democrats".

You can tell them by their exhibiting three or more of the following traits:

Their obsessive need to be in front of a TV camera, preferably on Rupert Murdoch's network. (Biden, Traficant, Miller, Estrich, Lieberman, Stephanopoulous, Dick Morris, etc.)

Their willingness to backstab their allies publicly to further their own careers. (See #1.)

Past or present scandal that threatens their careers/bank accounts sufficiently so as to make selling out an attractive option (Biden = Plagiarism, Richardson = Los Alamos Scandal, Dick Morris = Toesucking, Traficant = Everything)

Past or present incompetence that threatens them á la #3 (Stephanopoulous = Fired as Clinton's press guy, got revenge with book and ABC-TV gig; Estrich = Shunned by sane Democrats after her horrific butchering of 1988 Dukakis campaign; now goes on FOX to give out bad advice to Democrats)

A feeling of jealousy/envy towards the figure or figures being attacked. (Biden to Clinton and Dean, Lieberman to Clinton, Gore, Dean, Kerry, etc.)

1. Perfect!
We need some snappy soundbite material! It is unfortunate but this is what it takes to communicate with the short attention span nation.

3. Isn't there some way to revoke Democratic membership?
Plain and simple, there's no reason in the world why TRAFICANT is allowed to HOLD OFFICE with a D behind his name.* Why is it that the Dems always get saddled with the identity-crisis bunch?

* Granted T's in the joint but still...

4. The answer to that question is "yes."

I know a guy that was a supposed Democrat in Virginia, but who jumped ship and ran the "Democrats for Allen" campaign when he was stumping for governor. The Democratic Party quickly wrote him a letter and told him he was no longer welcome in the party. I wish the people in Georgia would do the same to people like Zell Miller. And, I wish that the party would sue the people who ran and were elected as Democrats (using donations from Democrats) and then switched parties the day after the election. That is nothing but outright fraud. It makes me sick. The Democratic party in Georgia called me and asked for a donation to elect Democrats in Georgia. I told them, "not another dime until we decide that we are NOT going to support Republican-lites." Never liked "lite" anything.
