of the three upon which the compromise agreement was made.....I think he'll be confirmed but the other 7 or so won't.

11. you know...
It must be the easiest job on the planet to be a Republican senator.

You don't need to worry about big-ticket items like issues, just show up on the Senate floor like a puppet during a vote and call out "aye", or however the White House orders. Gee, even a child or household pet could do it.

There are many reasons to oppose Lieberman, but as bad as this deal is , Lieberman is far from being the only one in this deal.

56. Nelson (NB) and Salazar, Chaffee, Snowe, and Collins
Nelson is hopeless, but WTF is wrong with Salazar? He's rapidly becoming the next Ben Nightmare Campbell. Both voted AYE. Salazar had a CHOICE, I assume.

I wouldn't piss down Nelson's throat if his guts were on fire. I'm rapidly beginning to feel the same way about Salazar.

Chaffee, Snowe, and Collins all voted NO. If they could do so, what's Salazar's problem--he was elected NOT to be Pete Coors.

This deal has been a dupe business from the beginning.

You can have the filibuster as long as you do not use it was the deal.

All of Bush's nominations will be approved without a filibuster.

Another great victory by the leadership of the Democratic Party!

Let's do a count now.

60 of President Clinton's nominations were not approved.

And how many of Bush's nominations have not been approved?

Answer: 0

After Senator Kennedy gave yet another impassioned speech it all seemed like Groundhog Day and I said to hell with it. The "agreement" is making me more depressed by the day. What was it we got? Anyone know? I ought to call Direct TV and have the damn satellite shut off before I go berserk.
