8. With the months of free media Dean got, he never beat Bush in polls
Kerry has been the media darling for barely a week and already he is ahead of Bush. Incredible. Look at George W. Here we come.

Go team, go Dems

Howard Dean is going to be our nominee NOT Kerry.

11. Bush only got elected
because of the outrage over Bill's precocious willy. I imagine more than a few are going to be disgusted with the swirling scandals and lies that somehow never get explained fully. And they continue to dig themselves a deeper grave day by day. Give a crook enough rope and they will hang themselves. I predict some rats will soon start deserting a sinking ship and sing like canaries.

grand jury. And then there's Halliburton, no WMDs ... the list goes on and on.

9. Check this out
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 09:06 PM by Clark4Prez
In fact, all Democrats are polling better against Bush, perhaps due to increased media attention to their primary horserace: Clark gets 47 percent of voters’ choice compared to 48 percent from Bush; Edwards has 46 percent compared to Bush’s 49; Leiberman wins 45 percent versus Bush’s 49 percent; and Dean ...with 45 percent of their votes to Bush’s 50 percent.

And you are right: as the primary season continues, all candiates will eventually poll over bush, as our message finally gets spread. bush has nowhere to go now, but down.

13. Too, too bad
that poll wasn't the election. Whatever got us to this point, I wish we could bottle it, preserve it, freeze it, etc. so it doesn't get lost. We'll see. Bush still wins against anyone except the K-dawg. :scared: :scared: :scared: :(

22. Remember though, that Bush was considered a shoo-in
by all the pundits after the capture of Saddam not much more than a month ago. This represents a huge improvement for us.

26. GUYS! It's a Loooooooong time til election day. While I share your joy,
I do NOT trust KKKarl Rove or James "the Fixer" Baker (don't count him out. You can bet what USED to be your retirement that he's lurking very nearby - like so many silverfish under an old pile of laundry. These people will stop at nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if they even staged an attack in order to turn the lemmings back their way. This is all about the ultimate drug, the ultimate aphrodesiac - POWER. And they fought so dirty to get to where they are that they aren't going to go quietly into the night.

As Bette Davis once said in the movies: "Fasten your seat belts. It's going to be a bumpy night."

Remember, these are folks who were standing in the greed and megalomania lines when they were giving out good sportsmanship. Remain on alert. Do NOT get overconfident. Not even on election eve. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once we've dumped the bastards, I plan to celebrate until I'm drunk and stupid, EVERY DAY of bush's lame-duck-period, until it runs out on THE DEMOCRATS' Innauguration Day. I hope we see lots of photos of grim-faced republi-CONS and lots of limbaughs and nazity-I-mean-hannity types crying in their beer. To whom I'll happily say "YOU'RE NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

23. It's not just a question of how many, but where
The way the Electoral system works, you have to look at where Bush has lost support. If he's losing it in fly-over country, he's in serious trouble.

24. I just checked pollingreport.com
and you're right about this being the first lead for any Dem in a Newsweek poll. The closest anyone came before was a 3-point deficit for Clark. BTW, this ties for the lowest approval for Bush in a Newsweek poll and is a new high for disapproval (44 percent).

27. More bad news to come.
Economy and Job trends - flat to down
New Richard Clarke expose on this administration's lack of focus on terror.
Iraq mess - UN won't bail out Bush and no WMD
Palme Investigation - CIA demands Indiependent investigation
9/11 Investigation - nothing at all positive for Bush here; other lawsuits continue.

I really see nothing that will change the trends for Bush....his 3 year War on America is finally coming home to roosy.

Guys, there are over 10 months to Nov, do you understand that these numbers mean absolutely nothing ?...

29. How does electronic voting fit into the polls. The Republicans own them.
We'd better have a 30% lead to make up for the tinkering about that will go on with the electronic voting machines. Also I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Pentagon's implementation of INTERNET VOTING for overseas ballots. This cannot happen.
