66. Good, but I'd rather he were in hot water over SUPPORTING PNAC.
Don't get me wrong, I like Dean and Biden is wrong on this, but his endorsement of PNAC's imperialist goals is far more critical with regards to this country's future, IMHO.

Rightclick on the picture, click on properties
The pictures link should be there (unless the picture is protected from copying). Put the link in your post.

For example, I right clicked on that uuuuugly chick in your sig and got "johnjones.com/pic/bush_wgirls2.jpg" (plus the "ht tp://" in front, but I removed that to keep the picture from showing in my post).

(You may want to preview before posting. Sometimes you might just get the red X.)

and as far as I'm concerned, he fits the bill you just listed....

Somehow, I think that they (media) are trying to build Biden's reputation to become the National Security Candidate....cause they don't want Clark to be that. That's why they have Biden on every goddamn Sunday...which is why I rarely watch!

99. I agree they should have Clark on more...
... and they did during the primaries (and actually before the primaries), but Clark isn't an elected official.

I don't believe there is any media conspiracy to brand Biden as the national security candidate and the expense of Clark.

The reason they have Biden on every "goddamn" Sunday is because he is the ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee and an elected Democratic senator.

only elected officials get to appear on network talkshows discussing military and terrorist issues?

I think that's a very shallow pool to get information from. Don't you?

In reference to media conspiracies, I'm not as trusting as you are. Ever since the time that Drudge did the totally RNC engineered "Clark was for the War based on his 2002 testimonies" headlines that ended up being reported by all of the networks AND newspapers...(Reporters could have just simply pulled out the his original testimonies...which drudge had done a cut and paste on), I have had my doubts about what some in the media's intentions were regarding Wes Clark.

You give the media entirely too much credit, IMO.

No, I'm saying that's the reason they choose Biden more often than others.

In reference to media conspiracies, I'm not as trusting as you are...---snip---

It appears your beef is that you don't see enough of Clark.

The media treated every candidate (viable ones anyway) with the same dirt digging mentality. Clark alone was not picked on.

24. I especially like this one:
Subject:
"What I want to know: why are you an f'ing a-hole?

To:
Sen. Joseph Biden

June 9, 2005

"If you're going to <profanity removed> over Howard Dean, the very least you could do is offer a reach-around. But no, you'll get on your knees for Al From, but Dean gets nothing but a public buggering.

This <profanity removed> is not acceptable and not much fun to watch, so zip it up <profanity removed>.

What I want to know is what the <profanity removed> happened to you. You used to be a good man, even if MBNA owned your ass. But you went sour, you started triangulating, and now you've made a <profanity removed>ing ass out of yourself."

It is time for a very public apology. In the future, don't <profanity removed>ing attack Democrats, it is your job to attack the right-wing wankers and defend Democrats.

Let me know when you pull your head out of your ass."

Here are a few snips:

When you attack Dr. Dean, a great governor and a great Democrat, for speaking the truth about Republicans you showed once again that you are in the wrong party. Get thee gone you spineless, pusillanimous sack of runny, gutless garbage.

How dare you speak for me and millions of other Democrats who support Dr. Dean and his efforts to introduce true morality into our political system. Your grins and chuckles while you attack a man who has done more for Americans in his short political career than you will ever accomplish even should you live to be a hundred are deeply offensive. And, please, don't count your vote for the Republican bankruptcy bill as anything more than is was: A corrupt bow to those who view Americans and gullible sheep fit for nothing but the shearing.

Senator, I am no sheep and I recognize you for what you are.

A Judas goat.

:spank:---------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone ever called you an Pontificating A$$hole? Bet they have. Bet your own wife and kids have too. You are such a jerk. Ditto Dayton, MD. message, Close Gittmo! Are you crazy? Don't answer that, couldn't stand anymore of your "grabbing the KEY light" "when's my CLOSE UP?" MAKE UP - MAKE UP!!

San Deieue , DE

:spank:--------------------------------------------------------

The Republicans, through people like Anne Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News, have been trashing Democrats for years! Howard Dean is finally calling these liars, war mongers and hypocrites out for what they are and cowards like you are running for cover, lest we offend the mighty GOP! Don't you and fools like you realize it was our weak, no red meat, covention last year that probably cost Kerry the election? The Republican convention was just one, big, anti-Democrat slam fest, while we tip-toed around, worrying that perhaps Al Sharpton offended anyone in what was easily one of the best speeches at that lame convention!

Democrats want strength and people who tell it like it is, not Washington bum-kissers like you and Joe Lieberman who want to beahve as if the GOP is not waging a war against this party and utilizing all the dirty rhetoric it can from its Christian and right wing media attack machine! Do us a favor, Senator, lap-dogs like you cost us this past election, so if you want to make peace, join the Peace Corps; if you want to smooch the Republicans' backsides, just join the GOP and take Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman with you! Leave the real Democratic Party to folks like Howard Dean and we might actually stand a chance in 2006!

Chicago , IL

:spank:------------------------------------------------------------

Howard Dean does speak for this Democrat and millions more. You do not. Your butt kissing of this criminal administration is sickening.

By the way, what were you doing on September 11th?

People are waking up.

Kenai , AK

51. This isn't one man's opinion, it is an organized DLC attack
First Edwards. Then Biden. Then Richardson (when Edwards clarified his comments). Then Holy Joe. Then Useless Pelosi. Then Biden's fellow PNAC'er Feinstein.

That many DLC shills within that short of time is NO coincidence. And ALL of them will be held accountable for it.

52. I agree
I am sick and tired of letting these jerks, like Biden, have the microphone, giving the impression that all Democrats are wimps. Not any more!!

I'm not a Deaniac, I supported Gen. Clark, but I love that he told the truth about Republicans and he should NOT apologize, which is what they were trying to force him to do. He doesn't need to! He's got probably millions of Democrats, fed up with being represented by snivelling, apologetic wimps, backing him up.

Every once in a while, Joe Biden looks like maybe he gets it, but more often than not, he's on the wrong side of the issues.

Now, we need a few more like Dean!!

BTW, why is it not right to attack Bidden, but it is OK for you and him to attack DEAN?

Might want to take your own advise.

And besides, WE can and will attack those we disagree with as WE see fit.

I'm not a Deaniac by any means - but I will support ANYBODY who supports and speaks for the causes I hold dear.

That so many people support Dean and don't support SOB Bidden, is because they like what Dean is DOING and SAYING, not because of who he is. Same with the choice words for asshole Bidden.

"Learning from past mistakes helps one grow as a person"

Yes, Dean made a terrible mistake by offending the DLC's overlords in the Republican party, and now he must be chided by every friggin member of the DLC, so he remembers that the overlords must not be offended in the future. If he remembers that, I'm sure he will have grown tremendously as a person.

Come on, how else would you expect Kos to respond. It's a blog site formed for Howard Dean with money supplied by Howard Dean's campaign funds. And this is what the Kos people do- attack anyone who dare mentions anything negative about Dean.I would expect that Bidden will just blow off all the criticism on the Dean comments. I don't like Bidden, but he is entitled to express his concerns about recent Dean comments.

Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 11:49 AM by flpoljunkie
Wonder what kind of reception he will receive after this week.

http://www.fladems.com/JeffersonJackson.shtml

Florida Democrats are tough! We may have been down after last November, but we certainly were not out. We are already ramping up for the 2006 elections and aim to turn this state BLUE! Join us for our annual fundraiser and help us continue building our bench and building our electorate as we head into what may be the toughest fight yet! We will be joined by special keynote speaker, Senator Joe Biden.

Unlike the past two years, the FDP is not hosting a weekend of JJ related events. Instead, the FDP is a proud co-sponsor of the First Annual Youth Leadership Conference, hosted at the same hotel prior to the JJ Gala. Directed by the Florida Young Democrats, the YLC will bring together activists from across the state for a series of meetings, training workshops and featured speakers. The FDP encourages all Democrats to attend the YLC Luncheon, which will feature a round table of our Democratic gubernatorial candidates.

When: Saturday, June 11, 2005
Where: Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa
3555 South Ocean Drive
Hollywood, FL 33019

89. I agree with Biden...and Feingold...and Warner...and Ford
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 07:01 PM by zulchzulu
...Dean might appeal to some that enjoy him overstepping every now and then...and of course, giving the MSM another "Dean Scream" to exploit and water the DLC message...

...but, his comments sometimes border on childish carelessness and the same level of drivel from the Right. Saying that he "hates the Republicans", that they haven't "worked a day in their life" and other comments of that flavor only make the MSM more easily paint Democrats as sophmoric attack dogs.

Dean needs to look up Mark Twain quotes and come up with something a tad more witty and biting.

I support Dean otherwise...I just remember how he was gaffe-prone during the primaries...

...can we teach a dog new tricks?

As for Biden, he has to go back to Wilmington and when asked about Dean's comments about Repugs never working a day in their life, has to wince and dance around the issue, which has NOTHING to do with what really needs to be addressed.

Dean's sometimes sloppy gaffes only make it harder...not easier.

Yeah, we can all pick on Biden. But what about Feingold? He came out saying that Dean needs to measure his words better too. I guess Russ should be equally vilified and sullied...can we all aim the circular firing squad at him too?

"Sen. Russell D. Feingold, a Wisconsin Democrat, said that at the meeting, "There couldn't be any doubt that there was some concern, even by Dean himself," about how his comments have been received."
