13. Yep. We're supposed to rally back and put her up, just to show them.

(yawn).

2. Why are they shoving her down our throats? They are obsessed by her!
The same way they are obsessed with Gays. I don't get it.

8. If Hillary becomes president....
The Right-Wing will have a common enemy to rally against and maximize their campaign fundraising, especially when it comes to Republican candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House seats.

9. Hillary (feminism) and gays are hot-button issues that the RW likes to
front of their base. Makes them donate to campaigns and RW orgs.

Tom Delay has the same effect on me.

16. You noticed that too?
Cons love to make some snide comment about Hillary and then they look so pleased with themselves. Like it really hurt my feelings.

They're going "Ooh, Hillary." I'm thinking "Hillary, who?"

5. I'll tell you why
1. She's bright, charismatic, and was very in-your-face during the time she was First Lady.
2. She's a woman. The GOP fears smart women. And no, Condi Rice doesn't count--she's well paid to think what they tell her.

6. the Far Right is male-centric. Conservative males, mostly.
It could be that many of those conservative males don't like smart, successful, professional women.

Senator Clinton embodies all those accomplishments.

12.  I wouldn't blame her if she did.
In fact, I have a prepared list of recipients right here...

Rush Limbaugh
Tom DeLay
Ken Mehlman (cancel that -- he'd probably like it)
John Cornyn
Hannity
O'Reilly
Ann Coulter

etc.

14. That's the point - all of the above would love it. Actually Ken
probably not so much.

How about adding Tweety and Scarborough to the list. I can just hear them giggling already. Tweety will probably get out his catholic school outfit - a little plaid skirt and white knee socks. Got to put Bush on the list as well - he will want his Mommy to watch.

7. They want her to be the nominee....
That's why they keep pumping her up so much.

It's a win-win situation for them: if she's nominated and she loses, they can gloat about how she lost because she was a big socialist *LIBRUL*.

And if she's nominated and she wins against the Republican candidate, they can spend 4 more years using her as a red herring (and sweeping their candidates into the U.S. Senate in 2008 and 2010) by distracting the public from the issues that really matter. They'll get to rag nonstop on President Hillary as a common enemy to energize their wingnut fundraising base, while still most likely controlling the U.S. Senate even if Hillary wins in '08.

And the MSM wins either way, because whether she's victorious or defeated, they get to report on all the "excitement" and controversy accompanying Hillary's presidential candidacy. Either way, it's more money in their pockets. Why do you think they're helping the Republicans and the Faux News pundits vigorously talk up Hillary's "inevitable" candidacy?

The Democrats need to nominate a candidate who can win the most states with a SMART (rather than divisive) strategy, when playing the Electoral College game.
