Reminds me of the campaign slogan of Palatine from Taxi Driver, "We ARE the people", or was it "WE are the people"?

Edwin Edwards, running against David Duke.

From my college days with the Monarchists (who actually took power in my Freshman and Sophomore years)...

"Only in America can a little boy grow up and become king" and of course, "Re-elect the monarchy for the sake of the cows"

For "serious" slogans, I'd go with Theodore Roosevelt's "a square deal for every man".
