Guess it's time to officially anoint Bush as "unpopular president"
Someone tell the MSM about this.

A WPost columnist on Bush's latest polls:

"When is it time to start referring to Bush as an unpopular president? When his approval ratings are solidly below 50 percent for at least three months? Check. When his approval ratings on his signature issues are in the red? Check. When a clear majority of Americans say he is ignoring the public's concerns and instead has become distracted by issues that most people say they care little about? Check."

1. Has he broken through the 40% or below approval rating....
...yet?

40% approve while 60% disapprove

That would be the magic level of discontent among American voters and voting age adults.

5. He's at 43% approval, 55% disapprove in the latest poll
That's the AP poll. Importantly, his favorability rating is down to 52% negative. That's important because Bush's favorability ratings have always been higher than his approval ratings. But not any more.

8. I believe he is already in the 35-38% approval...
they are giving slightly inflated numbers. No way this idiot is above 40....I just do not believe it.

6. Nonsense. He is more popular than ever. These "polls"
are slanted by the liberal media because they hate Bush and want the sheep to think that Bush is unpopular and a bad president.

:sarcasm:

11. Well sure if you're gonna focus on polls!
Pssssh! You can manipulate polls to prove anything that's even remotely true. Now, when Bush's approval ratings among the talking chuckleheads on the talk shows, the opinion journals, and the red line to the CSPAN call-in show start showing 10% negatives, then you might be onto something.

But the folks with the six-figure (and above) annual salaries all think George W. is the bee's knees because he's been so good for their clas--oops, income level (we don't talk about the "c" word in Amurika) in cutting taxes and giving them a free ride to profit off the poor and other rubes.

So he remains our popular war-time president!

15. It's only the victims of class warfare that aren't allowed to
consider class warfare. The perpetrators have been "doing it" for decades, unobstructed.
