Watergate took 12-15 months before it got legs - DSM-don't discount it |
|
Is Watergate more serious then the Downing St. Minutes memo?

1. No, DSM is far more serious. |
|
If it keeps going, this will be a huge thing for the 06 midterms.

3. Interesting that Limbaugh-Hannity etc. aren't going near this story |
|
Glen Beck, Laura Igrahm just don't seem to have any comment about DSM. For once it's good to hear them keep their mouths shut, they know the last thing they need to do is keep the fire burning.

in and of itself. But I wouldn't be suprised if it leads down many paths of corruption and misuse of power by the * regime. In other words, this could turn out to make WG look like a minor infraction.

5. Hmm, maybe the slow boil is the way to go. |
|
So many other issues have flared up hot and quick, then burned out just as fast. Remember the misssing explosive material story the week before the elections? Then the Bin Laden tape surfaced and it was dropped without another word.
Slow, festering, lingering -- maybe that's how this story should play out.

Thank you. I have been so worried that nothing will come of this. Like the Plame case. But apparently the Plame case is still being pursued.
This lie of the * administration is a complete betrayal of the American people. It is exactly the kind of offense that impeachment is for.

8. Watergate was a time when many Republicans believed in our Constitution |
|
and would try to protect it against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Today Repukes have stood by virtually every disastrous fiscal policy, and other policies and actions, voting in near lockstep fashion for what ever the Repuke president wants, abrogating their constitutional responsibilities and prerogatives in the process, all so one person can realize his extreme world view and PNAC vision.
