"an incident in the No Fly Zones."
There should be no DOUBT these ASSHOLES are TRAITORS. They created the CIRCUMSTANCES FOR THE WAR. What more evidence do we need? Arrest the entire Administration on TREASON!!!!

From the DSM-2:

"3. We need now to reinforce this message and to encourage the US Government to place its military planning within a political framework, partly to forestall the risk that military action is precipitated in an unplanned way by, for example, an incident in the No Fly Zones. This is particularly important for the UK because it is necessary to create the conditions in which we could legally support military action. Otherwise we face the real danger that the US will commit themselves to a course of action which we would find very difficult to support. "

1. it's not treason....
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 08:14 PM by mike_c
It's a whole bunch of other crimes, including some best prosecuted internationally, but it's not treason. I don't mean to piss on your outrage-- we have every right to demand an accounting, but the treason card is a blind alley at best, and a waste of time. We need to work on what crimes Bushco actually committed, and focus on those. I so want to see him do the perp walk....

2. I know it's a stretch...
But, collusion with a foreign power to cause serious harm to the U.S.... and creating a situation to take us to war is about as harmful as you can get. Sounds like Treason to me. They were ready to bring Felt up on charges of Treason, I don't see why we can't be using their own bar against them...

3. treason is VERY narrowly defined...
...as levying war against the U.S.-- usually interpreted to mean actually bearing arms against the U.S.-- or giving aid and comfort to its enemies, again usually interpreted as enemies in a real shooting war. Article II section 3 of the U.S. Constitution: "Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort." In the latter case, the Court has adhered to a two witness standard that requires two witnesses to specific acts of assistance given to specific U.S. enemies.

Take a look at Findlaw's discussion of the limits placed on treason for a very interesting discussion: http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/article03/24.html
