Despite DSM excitement, WE MUST STOP HORRIBLE BILLS FROM BECOMING LAW

Case in point: The "Fat-Cat Bill," AKA the "Make Congress More Corrupt Bill." It's HR 1316, and it just left committee for the full House.

In typical Orwellian fashion, the GOP call it "The 527 Fairness Act of 2005." Tom DeLay loves it, and no wonder.

It's hideous- you won't BELIEVE how brazen it is. PLEASE READ ITS PROVISIONS AND TAKE ACTION. Don't let them make this law, or what's left of our tattered democracy will be gone and the DSM will be moot.

The behavior of the Republican Majority in congress is despicable. With the heat coming on, they are now pushing their agenda harder than ever, while they still can. They see th '06 elections looming, and a potential electoral backlash that even rigged ballots won't hide.

It's obviously a very bad bill, but there may be other aspects that need an expert for exposure. We need to go to the public with clear talking points on this horrible bill. It's an open door for massive corruption and buying of elections - and it will become law unless we get our act together.

I would like to see a campaign of using this bill, explained clearly, as evidence of the GOP desire for MORE corruption.
