Dean is ABB. Are his supporters? |
|
He just said at the NH Democratic Party Dinner that we all need to support the nominee. I want to ask, do any of his supporters have a problem with that?

5. Absolutely! Just because we like him best doesn't mean that |
|
we wouldn't support another Dem candidate if he won the nomination.
Dean has rekindled belief in this tired old Democratic heart. Belief that we can beat Bush and that we have to take on the bullshit that's being done.
I want my country back!

it would be interesting to see what kind of response you receive from his supporters.
I feel some of them on here are looking to Clark for help. I remember a few month's ago when Clark said that Dean casually discuss with him about being his VP.
When Clark let it be known publically about the offer he and his supporters were massively attacked. Now ironically the olive branch is being extended to Clark, which is good.
We all need to be civil and try to support our candidates to the best of our ability. If our candidate does not get the nomination support whoever wins it to get Bush out of there.
Just remember as passionately as you feel about your candidate I feel the same why about mine!

"When Clark let it be known publically about the offer he and his supporters were massively attacked. Now ironically the olive branch is being extended to Clark, which is good."
I've seen no news items about that. Do you have a link?
Or, wait. Are you confusing the post of one person here on this forum as something from the campaign? (I saw an "olive branch" from a Karaoke Karlton suggesting that Clark and Dean supporters team up to discover dirty tricks in the campaign.)
Anyway, your comment doesn't seem quite logical to me.
Or ARE there campaign officials here? Are you one? Is KaraokeKarlton one? How many people here represent the various campaigns? Do they reveal themselves -- do you all know who they are? Or do they hide behind anonymity and pretend to be everyday Americans?
I'd really like to know.
A.
I edited because I thought I was on a diffferent thread -- and my post didn't make much sense when it wasn't on that Karaoke Karlton thread.

Not "will I support the Democratic nominee if it's not Dean?" That's a no-brainer. Of course I will.
The tough question was whether to answer this question straight or to be sarcastic.
Why, when Bush is taking us to hell in a handbasket, would we NOT support the Democratic nominee? I'm perplexed by the question.

Judging by how he's been treated on the campaign and on DU, I think everyone else should be asking themselves that question.

but I would suggest the Dean use his money and org to try to change the house of reps by supporting Dem candidates. After the way the DLC and DNC have treated him I would encourage him not to support their chosen bush light with money.

19. Dean supporter here but |
|
we are all in this together and we all should band together to support anyone who carries the flag for us. I like a lot of the others too. Carol mosley braun and Al Sharpton and Dennis Kucinich but since they have fewer followers. I just think Dean has the best chance because he is stubborn enough to go toe to toe and not back off. The senators all seem to learn a politeness that comes into play when they campaign and they start to take hits instead of giving them.

I will vote for Clark and maybe Edwards. I do not like Kerry. I think he has a history of waffling on issues and opportunistic political thinking. The same reason I do not vote for Dianne Feinstein in CA.

I think fewer will transfer from Dean than any other candidate with the possible exception of Kucinich. Dean attracts a following that includes Independents, Greens, Socialists, and discouraged Democrats, many of whom may choose to vote their conscience for a 3rd party candidate, yet to appear on the scene. I fit into that general category. I won't vote for a DLC candidate.
I should have added Libertarians to the mix.

Kerry's opposition to Bush on the war and PATRIOT is based on the way Bush did things, not on Bush's goals for PNAC expansion abroad and Big Brother at home.
If Kerry becomes President you will quickly see that he will continue the occupation of Iraq, support for Ariel Sharon and his Likud, continue the Guantanamo concentration camp, keep the PATRIOT Act and First Amendment Zones, continue globalization.
There is not much difference between the two Skull & Bones candidates!

I think the Democratic party maybe unable to act as anything but a slower descent into neo-feudalism given the wimpy collaborators many if not most national Democrats have been.
