Senssenbrenner's Big Mistake, Our Opportunity?
We all saw the footage on C-SPAN. Seems to me that there's no reason why we shouldn't make a campaign ad out of Senssenbrenner's display right now. Why wait until 2006 to weaken him when we can start the pressure now?

Just a thought.

1. as long as the word "Arrogance" is part of the ad.
I wrote about James Sensenbrenner, including his position on "indecency" on the airwaves, at:

...provide the ammunition, the ground forces will provide the attack manpower.

3. This will disappear, along with the DSM and charges against DeLay
NOTHING'S stuck to this administration yet.

Remember all of the "Rove is going DOWN" posts in light of the Valerie Plame affair?

Last time I looked, Rove hadn't gone down.

Frist didn't "go nuclear" because so far he's gotten EVERYTHING HE WANTED. He pisses and moans about how LONG it's taking, but so far, he's gotten EVERYTHING HE WANTED.

The MSM is more worried about Michael Jackson and that girl in Aruba.

I'd love to see this Sensenbrenner thing go up in flames, but based on what I've seen so far, I'm guessing it will just slip out the back door.

Hope I'm wrong. I'd LOVE to be.

4. he also wants to tear down the UN.

"With the deplorable state of the current UN policy, it is not unreasonable for Congress to treat the international organization like a spoiled child who hasn’t done his chores. To that end, the House Committee on International Relations recently approved legislation to withhold the United States’ contribution from the UN if the organization does not make a series of changes in how it does business. The UN will whine about how this legislation is counterproductive to its goals, but as my father used to say, “the garbage won’t take itself out.” "

5. and he wants to weaken PBS
From a letter to a constituent (me):

"I understand your support for the programming options available on National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting System (PBS). However, I believe the best way for radio and television stations to be free from political influence, is to acheive independence from public funding sources. By relying on appropriations from Members of Congress, PBS and NPR have a tremendous stake in the political process and are greatly affected by funding decisions in Washington, D.C. Private stations, on the other hand, are better able to fairly report on efforts in Congress to expand or restrict the size of the federal budget. Thus, I do not support increased federal funding for PBS and NPR."
