The American Conservative as a new valid source for DU
Amazing, really, but it seems that some people here are ready to accept any source when they want to make their point: Drudge, Pat Buchanan, Bob Novak, everything is good.

Not surprisingly, these sources have been the most avid these last few months to spread and overblow rumors and inuendos on potential disagreements between Democrats, or on the poor fundraising results of the DNC. What is more surprising is that people here are ready to accept this right-wingers as acceptable sources, without even having a doubt on the accuracy of what they say, as long as it suits their agenda.

Can somebody tell me why I should believe comments from a newspaper that recently described Hagel as a liberal democrat?

1. Are you talking about...
American Conservative Magazine? If so I've read good articles in it for awhile now. Buchanan when he isn't on TV doing the right wing pundit job suddenly backs away from them and attacks neocons for being fake conservatives....quite funny to read. They had a broad support for president even split for Bush and Kerry by thier writers (AC Mag allowed each to pick and endorse their own individually) which was quite funny to see many denounce Bush in print. The never speak ill of a Repug thing bites the dust there but when Buchanan does TV he drops the truth and puts on the act. And Hagel is more like a classic liberal than a neocon thats for sure now to get him to drop the corporate love and maybe he'd switch parties.
