Dem leadership talking about the energy bill with PNACer James Woolsey
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 11:57 AM by flpoljunkie
Now on C-Span2 at 12:50PM, EST.

Why is Woolsey, former CIA director under Clinton--and signer of the infamous 1998 PNAC letter to Clinton--there?

1. The Dem leadership is talking to someone with PNAC???
They shouldn't even been in the same ROOM with any of those creeps- or even Woolsey, for that matter. Dem leadership needs to (correctly)refer to this monstrous group as the war-mongering fascists that they are.

2. Why is Reid talking to Woosley??
And why is the Democratic leadership pushing the Cantwell amendment who does not say how a cut in oil import would be replaced (drilling, nuclear, renewable energy,...) rather than one of the two amendments that would impose an increase in renewable energy.

3. Woolsey is very, very concerned about energy, and doesn't agree
with the "we can drill our way out of it" mentality of the repukes. My recollection is that he is an advocate of cellulosic ethanol, plug-in hybrids, and renewables.

His motivation is national security, but he's useful to us now.
