Climate Change
Ex-White House Official to Join Fuel Co.
AP - 1 hour, 5 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - A former White House official and one-time oil industry lobbyist whose editing of government reports on climate change prompted criticism from environmentalists will join Exxon Mobil Corp., the oil company said Tuesday. The White House announced over the weekend that Philip Cooney, chief of staff of its Council on Environmental Quality, had resigned, calling it a long-planned departure. He had been head of the climate program at the American Petroleum Institute, the trade group for large oil companies.

2. Fascism / Corporatism...
"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power" - Benito Mussolini

3. The house decides what is and isn't 'impeachment material'.
You can bet that in their view, none of this rises to the level of an impeachable offense for a republican president.

There will be no impeachment as long as the Republicans control the house.

5. That's why 2006 is so important - and nonetheless...
...no matter what the result, impeachment or not, just talking about it is a win/win for us.

4. Were all starting to see it
I have been watching the under ground democratic for a long time, In 2000 I voted for the first time in 36 years I voted for Bush what a joke that was I did not vote in 2004. I am not voting for two lawyers or an Idiot like Bush is.
Today I am thinking about switching over to the Democrats.Bush Needs to go now that the Downing report has come out I knew all long Bush was lying, At the time when the Iraqis Drone planes story was dragged out I laughed personally I can go to the nearest Hobby lobby and buy all the parts I need to build that plane. I knew Bush and company was lying but I did not care sometimes the end justifies the means. But I started thinking yesterday, I was thinking Bill Clinton got impeached for lying under oath about having sex with Monica but big deal the country was going fine, who cares about his personal life.
Look at today, I know policy's take time to develop and all but it has been almost five years, Bush started a useless war, I don't think it was about oil I think it was about revenge for his daddy, people were/are dying all over the world but the countries were contained, look at Cuba for the last 40 years, look at China etc..etc..This was a useless war from the start. If people want to be free they have to start their own civil war to get it. Look at today with jobs going, us middle classer's have to bow down to upper management and we know there leading our companies right down into the sewers. This is all a joke. People like Rush and Ann Coulter say it is all black and white there is no gray, But then you here Rush popping pills while he is cutting down pot smokers, this is all a joke. there is gray in life.
You always here of people debating Evolution and Creationism, I know where I came from I came from I came from my Mommy's belly everything else before that I could care less.It does not matter to me for my day today survival
I could care less if someone is gay, just don't bother me
I could care less if a woman has an abortion, it is her choice, just don't use as it as a birth control, because that is sick to me.
I could care less paying taxes as long as the government uses it wisely,I am sick and tired of hearing teacher's union's saying they need more money, because I know for a fact almost everything I learned in school I had to re-teach myself latter on in life.
I am sick and tired working 60 to 70 hours a week making $40,000 a year and some smuck of a CEO making 10 million a year destroys it by his own spite, my way or the high way, he says, destroys it he does and walks away with a golden parachute and I am one of the men that has to pick up the pieces why he's laughing on some ship some where. It's time to make my stand.it's time to take them down.
All I want is to be free.
All I want is to be able to live my life the way I chose as long as I don't hurt anyone else.
This thread is not to bait anyone.I am telling the truth.I have finally seen through the lies of the Bush administration......and The Republicans........
It's time to take them down..
but my new found friends you have to be smart about it...all the complaining in the world is not going to change an ignorant person...you can wine all you want....sometimes you have to walk the walk.

Its time to take them down.

From the streets of Chicago, yours truly, a fine product of the Chicago public school system. You should see when I really get mad.

11. Impeachment country
sort of like Marlboro Country, but worse for your health.

Impeachment country is the land of opportunity, where everything the president says only makes his bad situation worse.

Welcome to DU!

One by one the citizens rub their eyes and say "What the...." and
"HEY!... Whose in charge here, anyhow?"

Well it's us. Every American citizen has a job to do.
