D*mn. He originally was siding with the Dems and thought the requests that the Dems were making to the WH were appropriate, now, he's singing like a bird. D*mn. I guess this IS the trouble with Kansas.

1. Look at it this way...
Kansas is in the middle of the Bible belt, and many of its denizens think creationism is science. What can you expect?

5. Sorry. I meant no offense.
After all, I don't really have room to talk. I live in Texas. It doesn't get more bizarre than that. Actually, I lived in Kansas for awhile some years ago. I have some good memories of the Flint Hills and Tuttle Creek Reservoir or Tuttle Puddle as the locals sometimes call it. I spent a night out in western Kansas once (Rush Center I think it was). I remember it was cold and the wind was howling. Three of us in a VW drove out into the middle of this wheat field and drank some tequila and smoked some weed. There were no people or cars for miles. The only other living things in that field besides us were jack rabbits - hundreds of them! I will never forget that sight. All you could see in every direction were these pairs of really big ears sticking up above the wheat. That was as surreal a vision as I've ever had. Lee the Commie is I think still a Commie, and my friend Robin is as dear to me as anyone who has ever been in my life - a fine woman and a good Democrat. Ah if I could do it all again but were smarter the second time around.

Sleep tight, Kansas. Go out and look at the stars for me. You can probably see them where you are. When I look out on the polluted Houston skyline at night, all I see in the direction of the Universe is photo-bleaching. Yech! :hi:
