Why do you think the terrorists attacked WTC on Sept. 11th??

Was it just because they hated our freedom, as Bush said? Or did Bush and crowd do something to really piss them off? Was it because Bush took no position as Israel was rolling into Arafat's Palestinian grounds? Or did they threaten Osama in some way that Bill Clinton, with all his efforts, never did? What is your personal opinion?

Bush, Clinton, Bush, whatever. We "defiled" their holy land and they resorted to whatever means they felt they needed to "retaliate" against us.

I'm not really concerned with terrorists or their motivations. I'm more concerned with the lack of attention that was shown to all the warning signs of the impending attack. And how we have reacted to it.

I've seen more evidence to the contrary. After being inundated with images of the towers being hit, how come we never saw footage of the pentagon hit? The towers looked more like a controlled demolition to me. It is a fact that WTC 7 was demolished late in the afternoon on 9/11 even though only two seperate fires were burning.

I think it was because the U.S. established a base in his home land and it pissed him off. Of course, extremists will come up with any excuse to justify their actions. Look at what happened here with Terri Schiavo.

I don't remember it all, but he said in an interview that he was angry about US involvement in middle east countries. And he got the idea for the WTC from seeing one of our bombs that was guided into a building, which he saw crumble. It was at that moment when he had the realization that the WTC would be his target. And I believe it. I always believed that people don't just waste their time and energy blowing things up. They have what they think as a good reason. We gave him a good reason. The reality is that neither is any better than the other. Violence doesn't work.

and pass draconian legislation. All one need do is look at who has gained the most from 9/11 to figure out why the "terrorists" attacked WTC.

I don't mean that people were emotionally attached to the WTC just that seeing it happen up in the air has the most effect. Also they assumed that it would inflict the most casualties, to this day I am amazed that only (for too many for sure) 3,000 people died-not that I don't trust that number its just that as I watched it I figured on a much higher number.
