List Republican hypocrisies, please!

1. The Republicans push through and * signs the Terri law in the dead of night. However, while * was the Governor of Texas he signed bill that allows hospitals and doctors to decide whether to let a patient die if they are in a vegetative state and no one can pay the hospital bill, even if the spouse or parents want the hospital to keep them alive.

I am compiling a list and could use all your help.

1. Children of "Chrisitian Conservatives"
are engaging in oral and anal sex so they can proclaim their virginity and tell the world they are practicing abstinence. You see, the "facts" of lust and hormones trump religious "beliefs" on a daily basis. Don't know if that hypocrisy but it sure is republican.

This will be a god awful long list.

4. They are against welfare, yet...

the "red" states receive more money from the federal govenment than they pay in taxes, and the blue states pay more in taxes than they receive in federal money. The blue states support the red states. Isn't this a form of welfare?

thanks and keep em coming.

5. Education
They say they want to improve education while trying to destroy it. No Child Left Behind takes money away from schools that are failing. Because as we all know the reason schools fail is that they have to much money.:banghead: :banghead:

8. Religion
Most of them claim to be devout Christians while ignoring everyone of Christ's teachings. When was the last time any of them quoted the bible except for the Old Testament?

Conyers!
OK, here's some repo-hypo from today: Senator Durbin, the one being given the treatment for Gitmo-Nazi remark, is talking about the Cantwell amendment to the energy bill and said that Bush threatened to veto the bill if it contained any provision for energy efficiency.

bush is fighting the war on terra, and keeping the mushroom people safe, but he's against energy efficiency and independence...

Durbin also had the nerve to ask why it was ok to ask people to sacrifice their lives in the Middle East, but not ok to ask people to drive more efficient cars. (my paraphrase)

Call the Thought Police! How dare Senator Durbin ask questions like that?

11. Like that Tina Fey joke: Bush tried driving a vehicle powered by
soy fuel to show that his energy program wasn't all about oil rigs in Alaska. After driving a few miles, the President said, "This soy fuel would be great for powering oil rigs in Alaska!"

I just finished blogging a rant about republican hypocrisy. If you get the chance to read it please let me know what you think by posting comments there or here.

Also, I've always sucked at writing, so if I've done anything particularly grammaticly stupid, please let me know.

14. My son got one last week . . .
My nine-year-old got a "letter" from Lancelot Link (academic achievement, and George's sig looks like mentally handicapped shorthand) which had a sentence that made me laugh my bohls off: "One of the nation's top priorities is making sure America's youth are educated adequately enough to compete for the jobs of the 21st century." or something along those lines.

Sure . . . "compete" . . . with workers that can easily live on 1/10th the salary they'll be able to live on as adults, thanks to Bush's pro-megacorp, anti-worker policies which allows the ultra-rich's needed return to the Gilded Age/Robber Baron days. Talk about foot-cuffing them to the starting block.

Remember the early '90's?
1. Smaller Fed Gov't
2. States Rights
3. Balanced Budgets
4. Gov't involvement in peoples lives
5. Morals (see morality Tzar William Bennett)
6. Patriotism- name one current Bush administration official that has combat experience.
7. Pulling one's self up by the bootstraps (see incompetant legacy in the WH)
8. Bush actually said they should look into ending the legacy practices at universities! A little too late to help us you Ass!
9. Foreign aid- this issue really has done a complete 180.
10. Ripping on draft dodgers conveniently ended with the chimp.

17. So-called "free market" and small government
BUT...

...you can't get drugs from Canada.

...corporations get government bailouts.

...unfunded FEDERAL mandates for schools.

...no taxes for poor kids, but taxes for EMPIRE are just fine.

...want to add a Constitutional amendment everytime Dobson's nuts itch.

...Expanding federal government through military $ suck-up.

...Porn, drugs, prostitution, gambling don't fall under "free market" because Pearl Plastic Sheet doesn't think Jeebus would like that. (Starving poor children is fine, though.)

...red-state pork.

...Tax dollars for FEDERAL promotion of marriage.

...Constitution-gutting Patriot Act.

...Big-government-engineered regressive tax and "trickle down" and "supply-side" economic policies -- no less manipulated than mixed or socialist economies. Certainly not free market.

...Secret government.

...Corpo-fascism -- Cheney making energy policy with oil companies, Frist writing patients bill of rights for insurance companies and hospitals, and the Medicare Pharmaceutical Giveaway -- which not only wasn't free market, but expanded federal programs.

This is just pissing me off. Freepers have had their brains scooped out by Mammon Jesus, weilding a melon-baller.

I haven't even started with social hypocrisy. And this is just scratching the surface of economic and policy malfeasance.
