There are NO REPUBLICANS there.

It's not even on Inside politics!!!

(not that Inside Politics is an informative show anyway.)

I am very, very afraid this meeting is just a sermon to the choir.

I do believe it will be a huge event in the history books though.

Please don't flame me. I want to be wrong.

1. No flames, but...
I do honestly believe we are seeing the beginning of an avalanche. This is but a snowball. A few hands are forming it, but with a little time it will gain momentum of it's own. I do believe we are seeing the beginning of the end of PNAC.

2. I think it's just a snowball, too
In fact, I think it works better against Bush if the real action doesn't come until after the 2006 election. With the current Republican majority, no amount of truth is going to get us anywhere.

If we win the House, the groundwork is laid for impeachment.

4. Bloggers Will Have To Do Their Work AGAIN
fuck them, we're doing pretty well without them and looking at their ratings, a fraction of people continue to watch as they become more and more irrelevant.

Besides, they lie (few exceptions) and contune to cover up for Bush because too much money is at stake.

5. Have you notice the cable news covering the top stuff on blogs?
I don't know if they'll cover it on their own or not, but I've notice the bloggers moving a lot of things into the MSM just by the volume of posts!

I say it's up to US to keep this alive!

Conyers is walking over to the White House

There is a crowd of over 200 reporters following Conyers to the fence of the White House I am told. Meanwhile back at the stage…

WASHINGTON, June 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Media Matters for America today released a comprehensive study of media coverage of the Downing Street memo showing that the media has given the memo little substantive coverage.

Media Matters President and CEO David Brock said, "Media Matters' study illustrates the media's failure to give these revelations the attention they deserve, leaving the American public uninformed."

According to the study, the Downing Street memo was not mentioned a single time on any of the major networks for more than a month after the document was first revealed by the Times of London on May 1st. Until British Prime Minister Tony Blair came the United States in early June, the Downing Street memo was only mentioned on six cable shows on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC, with only two doing full reports. After six weeks, ABC still has not reported on the memo at all, and CBS has not done any original reporting.

8. Top democrats like Kerry, Dean & Hillary need to hit the TV news shows...
If Kerry, Dean, Hillary, Obama and all the other DEMs with high-profiles & media access fail to go on TV and drum this up, I'll blame them, not Karl Rove & Republican owned corporations if the story dies.

10. NPR report suggest White House will just ignore it and hope it goes away,
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 06:00 PM by mod mom
Sorry, ain't gonna happen. We must keep plugging the story until that avalanche occurs. People are dying because of this faux administration's lies. We must think of the military families and others who perish in this immoral war, think of the the losses they incur and continue to SCREAM until they are ready to face the truth! The emotional pleas from the Gold Star mothers were heart wrenching. Members of the military are willing to give their lives for their country and ask only that WAR BE THE LAST RESORT. They were betrayed by the arrogance and hubris of this heartless regime of neocon thugs who place profit over human life.
