Do you think Bush is having an "oh shit" moment? |
|
Approval ratings dropping, the DSM gaining steam, etc. etc. etc.
There is still that 30 percent or so (believe me, I work with many of them) who still think that Bush is a man of God, and "would never lie." But, goodness, the other 70 percent have got to see that this war was based on lies. The DSM is the smoking gun, and I don't care how ignorant our populace is, when the MSM hammers it, they'll start paying attention.
I know, don't hold my breath on the media. However, I think the serfs are about to turn on the Lord of the Manor as he continues to sink in popularity and effectiveness. It's all about ratings, and even the media whores will turn on their master for more dough.
One can hope. And one can hope that even the idiot in the White House may be thinking he's in a lot of trouble.
And thanks for the welcomes, but I'm ol' Ishoutandscream with over a thousand posts. My computer at work crashed, I have a new computer at home, and I had to start over again. Needless to say, I am a bit exhilarated today and glad to be posting again.

8. No. He's just having his normal "Who gives a shit" moment |
|
That is his entire life and being.
He never takes responsibility for any of his fuckups. He never has consequences for his fuck ups. Poppy and the media cover him up like the drooling dauphin that he is.
He is so disconnected from reality, that when it even gets a little close, he just tunes it out 'talking to Gawd' or swilling liquor, or whatever little cop out device he has going for him at the moment.
He is a weasel, is beneath contempt and is not fit to be described as a human life form

14. Beautifully put, and you're right. |

The only way I could see Bush truly having an "oh shit" moment is when he is being handcuffed and taken to jail. Or walking the steps of the gallows.

27. Yep. Hell, he may even be relieved |
|
He's spent a huge portion of his time in office at his ranch; it's rather obvious that he prefers to be there ("working hard" at his riding bikes, fishing, golfing, etc.). If he were asked to resign, I think that he'd happily do so. It's the rest of BushCo that would be having the "oh shit" moment.

think about how much has NOT stuck to him before this. He probably figures that his staff and Republican lap dogs will get this buried.
Honestly.. and RePIGlicans had the nerve to call Bill Clinton "Slick" and "Teflon" when their boy is 1741+ US lives times worse and DONE worse.
Keep hitting the media will every bit of evidence that comes out... Keep pushing this... sooner or later the American public will hear enough to get as peeved as we are and if nothing else make a change of power starting in '06.

24. "Man of God"...how long till one of that crew starts up with the Satan ... |
|
...stuff. I'm actually about 3/4's serious here. This is the reasoning: Good=God -- Bad=Satan. What an opportunity for an up and coming evangelical to ride the wave of growing anti-Bush sentiment by saying he's a "false prophet," "disrespects the Lard," "fulfills" some silly Biblical prophesy, "speaks in tongues."
I would so enjoy that turn of events.

25. No he isn't worried yet. |
|
The only way to discredit truth, is to shovel lies at it, and eventually the truth will be covered, distorted. Bush and the RW is good at this tactic, but if enough truth is thrown at them, the truth will be heard and told. Especially if the media outlets smell blood, they are like dogs. Do you think they care about Bush? Or do you think they care more about ratings/money? I think they care more about money, so if there is money/ratings to be made by coming after Bush, i think they will.

You can bet he's fuming more than anything else. And underneath that anger is a small core of fear that is only just beginning to churn.

That * can even count past 10, so I'd not be too sure that he is worried by the approval ratings.
The puppet masters might be getting a little worried however. Time to find a new VP & have * stand down due to bad health.

31. as bush frequently states "I don't look at polls" |
|
so if he doesn't look at polls how can he be having an "oh sh!t" moment about his numbers? unless he lied and does look at polls.... get your hipboots and shovels ready - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1861906bush is going to talking about Iraq.... wonder what color lipstick he'll apply to the pig. red? orange? or perhaps a variety of shades to color-coordinate with the terra-lerts we'll be getting soon
